Is it ok to eat pepperami when pregnant?
I think that it probably is as it says that it is pasterised in its pack. This means that it has been heated to a high temperature to kill bugs, and in fact you don't have to store it in the fridge which I think says a lot about it being safe. i have read lots of answers but no one has actually pointed this out.

What kind of sushi is safe when pregnant?
The concern about eating sushi when pregnant is because of the fish... it's thought that these days, because of pollution, there is enough mercury in ocean-caught fish to be a health risk, and this applies to both cooked and raw fish (mercury is a metal and does not cook out). Plenty of sushi rolls are vegetarian, though, and that's some of the healthiest stuff you can eat, pregnant or not. My own thinking, for what it's worth, is that you're better off staying away from foods with preservatives, hydrogenated oils, pesticides, etc., and not worrying so much about fish.
Can pregnant women eat bocconcini cheese?
I got the answer to this question from the website for Food Standards Australia and New Zealand. I recommend using the information provided by them for any other questions you may have about what is safe/unsafe to eat whilst pregnant.

Soft Italian style cheeses
Mozzarella, Provolone, Cacioccvallo, Bocconcini , Scamorze
The heat treatment (typically 71-88°C ) given to these cheeses is sufficient to inactivate any Listeria present, however opportunities exist for post processing contamination.
In general these cheeses are safe to consume by at risk groups if purchased pre packaged. Avoid these cheeses if purchased at a delicatessen counter.

Is seafood ok during pregnancy?
Lots of different advice and opinions on this so unfortunately this will not be a comprehensive yes or no answer here. The majority of discussion about what types of fish and shellfish can be eaten are based around the amount of mercury that their flesh may contain. All sea creatures ingest mercuy to some level but as it builds up in their flesh over time then the most danger comes from larger longer living fish and fish that are higher in the food chain that eat other fish. Thereby consuming all the mercury that has built up in smaller fish. Based on the averageamount of mercury found in different species there are guidelines that can be found for each type of fish. I have listed the main options below. Eat Up to 1 Serving (6 ounces) per Week: * Tuna Steaks * Canned albacore or chunk white tuna * Halibut * Snapper Eat Up to 2 Servings (12 ounces) Per Week: * Shrimp, crab, clams, oysters, scallops * Canned Light Tuna * Salmon * Mahi Mahi * Pollock * Catfish * Cod My last piece of advice would be the same as any other food related question for pregnant women and anyone who is concerened about the quality of the food they are buying and eating. BUY FRESH. Simple as it sounds that is the best advice I can give anyone. Don't buy bulk, don't buy the cheapest option and if it's possible where you live buy from farm shops or markets where you can meet the person who has produced this. Don't be scared to go to big fish markets they will be just as willing to sell 1 or 2 portions to you as they will to sell 500 to your local supermarket the only difference is that you dont have wait 3-7 days for them to repackage and display it.

Yes. Any drastic, even noticeable, changes could be very dangerous to your and/or the baby's health. If you are remotely concerned about anything, consult your doctor; better to be safe than sorry.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Well in the first trimester if you have morning sickness you may lose a few pounds (i lost 5) due to eating more smaller meals, or not feeling like eating at all. What Food you should avoid eating when trying to become pregnant?
Well you should first try to start eliminating the junk food, fast food, etc. diet. As part of an American society our life is often dependent upon these foods so while I advise not to eat them when possible I understand there are times when it is necessarily so I encourage you to become familiar with the healthiest options at fast food places. While a side salad from Wendy's for a pregnant person is not near enough calories. Get the chicken sandwich as opposed to the burger and get the fruit cup on the side instead of up sizing to a large fry! Ditch any raw meats including sushi. Avoid fish with high mercury content (swordfish, shark, tilefish, etc.). No hotdogs! Do not consume smoke seafood because several of these have been known to be contaminated with Listeria , same goes for deli-meats. Avoid eating soft cheeses, anything with raw eggs (including cookie dough!). Be sure to wash all your fruits and vegatables thoroughly. Overall it seems like a big list of no-no's but it's not too much really. And of course, no alcohol, caffeine or tobacco as well.

What diet should you eat when pregnant?
It depends on your weight. You should eat like the French. I live in France and I have a great nutritionist during my pregnancies. I can tell you what she told me to eat. Use it if you like:
Breakfast: Whole grain bread or a fourth of a baguette with a pat of butter
yogurt
one six ounce glass of fruit juice (eat fruit because fruit juice is full of sugar)
Mid morning snack: an apple if you are hungry
Lunch: A salad with meat or fish, bread, half of a piece of fruit
Mid afternoon snack: a piece of fruit (if it is a banana half, it is caloric or whole if you aren't overweight) and a dairy product and a grain.
Dinner: Veggies and a 100g piece of meat (the size of a stack of cards)
a starch and a green leafy or yellow vegetable.
This seems like a lot but your portions should be smaller portions. Don't eat gigantic steaks or go insane with food. If I drink juice, i dilute it with water or I freshly squeeze it. It is better to eat your calories than to drink them. Lots of juices are empty calories and don't satiate your hunger. Good luck!

Mozzarella is ok. Avoid mould-ripened soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert, blue-veined cheeses such as Stilton. All are associated with listeria, which can lead to premature birth and miscarriage.
You should also avoid mould-ripened goats' and sheep's milk cheeses, such as chèvre, although hard cheese made from these, for example halloumi and feta, should be safe.
You can eat hard cheeses such as Cheshire, Wensleydale, cheddar, Edam, Gouda and Parmesan. Soft processed cheeses like Philadelphia, dairylea, mozzarella, cottage cheese, cream cheese and curd cheese are all safe even if not marked pasteurised.
