How much time do you serve on a 12 year sentence in Arkansas?

I cant speak for other states but in Wyoming you will kill a 24 month sentence in 18 months

In the State of Missouri with no prior terms of prison incarceration most will be released in less than 6 months. Inmates sentenced to a two year sentence are eligible for parole release as soon as they arrive at the prison reception center. Most will already have jail time in that counts towards their sentence.

What were the prisons like in 1830?

I suppose that prisons were tough for the prisoners. Manual labor via prisoners was abolished in 1877, so I would think that prisoners were being kept longer in their cells than they would before 77'. I would also assume that individual cells (If you were lucky to get one) were about half the size that they are now. The lack of sanitation and other facilities in some prisons made them dangerous places and were often prone to diseases and rats.

How do you locate a facility a inmate is housed in?

If it is a County Jail, check for an on line inmate locator or call the jail and ask. If it is a state or federal prison - most states and the feds have on-line inmate locator services. Check the website applicable to your state. Some states like California require you to call.

See the related link below for links to most county and state correctional facilities.

Why are women in prison treated differently than men in prison?

Women are often treated differently than men in the military because women have been viewed as the weaker sex for many years. This causes men to want to protect them rather than work with them equally.

How many prison guards are in America?

Of the guards at a prison, all of them are employees of whatever state or regional department is in charge of prisons. Of all guards in total, a slight proportion of them are employed at prisons; others work at jails (which are not the same thing), banks, some clubs, consulates and other areas where security in person is required.

Can a person be convicted of attempted murder charged but if the vitims dies can the person then be convicted of murder charges?

If that person dies due to the injuries cause from the attempted murder then you can be charged with murder. But if you are convicted of attempted murder prior to that, double jeopardy would prevent you from being convicted of murder

How much time will you do on a 10 year federal sentence?

You do not do 80% of the time in a Texas prison unless its a federal charge in a texas located Federal prison. In TDCJ an inmate serves 25% of their sentence in non aggrevated offenses, and usually about 50% on aggrevated offenses. This just means the person is eligible for parole at 25% and 50% of the time, respectively. The time is also calculated by actual days served plus good time. So if you have all good time, parole eligibility is actually at around 15% of the sentence. Most people do not make their first parole though, so I would not expect a person with a 10 year sentence to make it out in 15 months. Realistically from what I understand, if non aggrevated a 10 year sentence would most likely do around 3-4 years. Hope that helps
