What do Muslims learn by praying?
its in one of the five pillars of Islam that Muslims must pray 5 times a day and face mecca when they pray.
Why do we do it? As societies worldwide flourish and Islam stands to be the fastest growing religion of the world, we sometimes see a disturbing deviation within the Muslim Ummah. Forget society, forget those who are converting and reverting, forget those who are just introducing themselves to Islam. I'm talking about us: those born and raised into Muslim families and taught the values of Islam and the teachings of the Prophets and Imams (peace be upon them). For everything that we have been taught and nurtured with, we find ourselves constantly doubting the actions we perform and the teachings we follow. But Islam stands to be a religion of logic, from the time of Muhammad, and it will remain so till the mountains crumble, the Earth flattens, and the final trumpet is blown.
One of the most asked questions within our community today is, 'Why do we have to pray?' More often than not, we see arrogance taking over people's minds, boasting that there is no need for prayer. And if they do pray, it is ritualistically and taken very lightly.
So people ask, why do we have to pray? And I only respond, '
Do you not find it worthy to thank Him, the One who has given you everything, and the One Who can take all that away from you if He so wishes overnight?'
In understanding why we pray, there are several factors that need to be understood first, before coming to the essence of prayer itself. The first is understanding and believing that there is a Hereafter, a life after death, one more permanent and Just by the Grace of
Allah. For all the injustices and crimes caused in this world, there must be a time of exposing the truth. In accepting the faith of Islam, we have accepted that there will be a Hereafter, and that this world is only transitory. So knowing that, we also understand that we must send our deeds forth, to serve as a light and support on the Day of Reckoning, where we will be held accountable for all that we have done in this world. We know that everything we do here will either form benefits or punishment in the afterlife. It is all about prioritizing and being prepared.
Allah does not need our prayers, so the question of prayer still remains. But if only we understood that the power of
prayer is such that, though we gift it to Allah, for all His Mercy and Blessings, He gifts it back, allowing it to serve as the beacon guiding us on that Day when no wealth, money, or children, will stand beside us.Have we ever thought of how busy our lives are? We are either rushing to go to work, to finish assignments, to do chores, and to have life sorted out; we are constantly on the run! Have we ever imagined that if Allah wanted, we could lose our job? We could lose our
family? Our ability to function and think? It is due to His Grace that we get up in the morning, and it is due to His Grace that we sleep at night.
In this world, we openly believe in the moral values of thanking someone when they do us a favor or help us in some way. So why is it one rule for the people and another rule for the Supreme Power? Is it not Him we are answerable to? Yet we tend to care what people think of us more.
So if we accept our morals and values, and the basic service to humanity, then we must also accept that we have to thank Allah for the gift of breathing, talking, and
walking. We must thank Him for every ability we have - because we know and are fully aware, that all of it can be taken from us in a matter of seconds. And what better way to thank Him than the form of prayer? In making it mandatory, Allah has only done us a favor, so that we may continue adding to our good deeds, as remembering Him is a Mercy in itself and also rewarding for us.
As we stand at the designated time in front of our Lord and raise our hands to attest that
God is Truly Great, we affirm our acknowledgement of His Supremacy, His Bounties, and His Power. What better way to thank He Who Created Us and gave us everything? In our busy lives with our never-ending agendas, it is nothing short of beneficial for us to stop everything we are doing at that precise moment in time when the call of Ibrahim is echoed throughout the world, and praise Him Who gave us the ability to wake up that morning, and He who granted us the honor of being raised in a religion that promotes direct communication with the Creator.
Thank Him, because thanking Him through compulsory prayer five times a day is sowing the seeds of reward that we will reap on that Day when none other than our deeds shall come to our aid.How many times is prophet Yusuf's name mentioned in the Qur'an?

What type of government existed in Arabia when Muhammad was born?
It was a tribal society. Various tribes were ruled by their eldermen.
Did the people of mecca treated prophet mohammed?
The people of Mecca treated the Prophet Muhammad badly, then he was ordered by ( Almighty God ) to migrate to Al madina where Islam was established widely and scattered all over the world.
No he was not.
a reason for Islam circumcision is "to be like Muhammad, who was 'born circumcised'". This can easily be refuted: if the Prophet was born without a foreskin (aposthetic), he was not circumcised, and that is the way to be like him.
Like Judaism, Islam forbids disfiguring the body:
There is no mention made as to the circumcision of Mohammad anywhere. And the community of which he was a part did not circumcise.
Answer II
Molana Safi UlRehman Mubarikpuri has cited different references in his famous book Alrahiq Ulmakhtoom that Prophet Muhammad pbuh was circumcised on 7th day after his birth , reference ibne Hisham1 / 159 ,160 .
Alrahiqal Makhtoom, pp 83 Urdu edition .

Why do Muslims eat only halal?
Answer 1
"Halal" just means "permitted" as "haram" means "forbidden." For many things and actions there are three degrees between: "encouraged," "neutral" and "discouraged."
But perhaps the question is about WHY some things should be halal and others not. This is more difficult. From a time too distant to account, certain foods have been avoided by both Jews and Arabs. Pork is the best known forbidden food, but there are others. In practice, halal is the same as kosher. In fact, before there were halal butcher shops, Muslims simply shopped kosher.
Was it a question of sanitation (pigs do carry human diseases)? Or were swine once sacred animals, too holy to be eaten, as cows are to the Hindus? Or was it just a matter of distinguishing one people from their neighbors. All these viewpoints have their advocates.
Probably the truest answer, though not the most satisfying, is, "Because it's our tradition."
Commentary on Answer 1
"Halal" and "Kosher" are not synonymous. The process of Islamic Slaughter (Dhabiha) and Jewish Slaughter (Shechita) are different in their specifics, making Halal meat not-Kosher. Additionally while Judaism prohibits shellfish and other marine invertebrates, only the Sunni Hanafi School follows these prohibitions. Additionally, Islam prohibits alcohol, which is permitted in Judaism.
What happens if you draw Prophet Muhammad or Allah?
Depends on how you draw his picture. Iran is a country with Shiite Muslim population and their religion sect, it is not considered wrong to draw Muhammed or Allah as long it is a normal picture or a picture to show a part of his life or his beauty. If the picture is insulting like the ones drawn in Denmark there will most probably be an uproar by the Muslims all over the world. But then what can you do? The people are brainwashed into believing that whoever insults Islam must be killed. It's a sad world.
What is the age of Aisha when Prophet Muhammad died?
Answer A
Between 18 to 20 . See link 1
Answer BAisha_was_19_years_old_when_the_prophet_pbuh_married_her._Some_say_16_years_old,_other_say_something_else.">An authentic hadith says that Aisha was 19 years old when the prophet pbuh married her. Some say 16 years old, other say something else. But you must know that in the time of the prophet pbuh there was no year counting like we have now (2008 A.C. or 1429 A.H.)
I give you an example.
If we asked people (of his time) "when was Muhammad pbuh born?", the people would not say 570, or 50 B.H. No, they would say: " he was born in the year of the Elephants."
But when was the year of the Elephants?, well (he says), That was after blablabla and I remember this event.
And you will ask somebody else. he will answer the same: year of Oliphants, but he will give you another timeline and events.
So you get confused!.
The only thing that you can do, is saying it was between this major event, and that major event. And if we translate this into "years" we get periods of 10 or more years.
So that it is why we do not know for sure at wich age Aisha married with the prophet pbuh. But the haters of Islam choose always the lowest, or even lower.
Answer C
Answer D: Source Material:
Several Hadiths quite clearly disaree with the above analysis and show that Aisha married Aisha at the age of 6 and consummated the marriage at age 9.
Answer E: Comment on Answer D above
It is important to emphasize that at the prophet time there was no accurate recordings of ages. So, all what is narrated are coming from one source and are based on guessing and rough estimation. So, the only way is to validate the different narrations and judge on their authenticities and not to rely only on narrations. That is why one is kindly invited to refer to the referred link and judge with you mind especially that; as mentioned above in Answer C; that when father of Aisha , Abu Bakr, was approached on behalf of the Prophet, he replied that the girl had already been betrothed to some one called Jubair, and that he would have to settle the matter first with him. This shows that Aisha must have been approaching majority at the time.
Answer F
The suggestion that the seventh-century Arabs could not track time accurately is misleading. They did not have modern astronomy, but the Arab biographies of Tabari and Ibn Saad give the age at death of nearly everyone. If nearly all Arabs knew their age to the nearest year, and if many people knew their age to the month, this shows that the Arabs generally thought in numerical categories. If they had not had a more or less accurate calendar and known their own ages, this information would simply be missing from their biographies.
Aisha was unusually good at arithmetic (Ibn Saad vol. 8, Bewley's translation p. 47), so there is no reason why she would not have known her age. She told her nephew Urwa that she was born "at the beginning of the fourth year" (Ibn Saad vol. 8, Bewley's translation p. 55). This was the year that began on 25 October 613. If Aisha knew the time of year, she is unlikely to have been wrong about the year itself. Incidentally, this tradition comes to us via Urwa's servant Habib, not via his son Hisham, so the objections that people sometimes make to Hisham (spurious though they are) do not apply in this case.
Modern suggestions that Aisha was significantly older than nine usually come from nice people who oppose child-marriage. However, their arguments are not convincing to Muslim scholars. Sheikh Gibril F. Haddad has refuted most of their arguments (google for him at Sunni Path).
One correction to answer C: the sources say that Muhammad contracted marriage with Aisha in 3BH and consummated the marriage in 1AH (Ibn Saad vol. 8, Bewley's translation p. 43; Tabari, Poonawala's translation, vol. 9 p. 131; Tabari, Landau-Tasseron's translation, vol. 39 p. 171). This was three years later, not five. Remember, there is no such year as 0! The calendar jumps straight from 1BH to 1AH. Shawwal 3BH equates to May or June 620; Shawwal 1AH is April or May 623.
As for the fact that Aisha was engaged to someone else before she married Muhammad (Tabari, Poonawala's translation, vol. 9 pp. 129-130): this proves that she had been born but it does not prove she was any particular age. In Arabia (as in nearly everywhere else in the world) it was commonplace to arrange marriages for infants. The earlier a child's marriage could be arranged, the safer his or her future prospects. Since Aisha's father was wealthy, it is not at all surprising that one of the neighbours raced to secure Aisha as a bride while she was still in her cradle. However, in this case the engagement was informal and not a binding marriage.
Common sense shows that Aisha could not have been as old as 19 or even 16 when she married Muhammad. She was playing on a swing when she was called away for her wedding (Ibn Majah 3:1876; Tabari, Poonawala's translation, vol. 9 p. 131). She played with dolls for years after her marriage (Bukhari 8:73:151; Muslim 8:3311; Muslim 31:5981; Ibn Saad vol. 8, Bewley's translation pp. 43, 44). She could read but she could not write (Baladhuri, Murgotten's translation vol. 2 p. 272), suggesting that her education had been interrupted. When she was first married she could not cook (Nasa'i al-Kubra vol. 16 #8917; Bukhari 3:48:829). She had not begun to menstruate as late as July 628 (Bukhari 3:48:805; Bukhari 3:48:829; Bukhari 8:73:151; Muslim 4:1940) but she afterwards developed a normal cycle (Bukhari's Mufrad 6:66:120 and much other evidence, too boring to list here). If she had been 19 in 623, that would make her nearly 25 when she reached puberty, which is definitely not normal.
Answer G
I wonder about all the debates above about Aisha age when got married to the prophet. It is enough to mention that she was engaged to someone else (polytheist) before got married to the prophet. The other point is that one should refer to the cultures of the Arabs at that time and what was the usual age for girls marriage. The third point is that what are the motivations behind non Muslims to be so propagating their views against Islam religion and against their prophet.
What languages are spoken by Muslims?
Prophet Muhammad (saw) spoke Arabic.
.
Arabic
Muhammad (PBUH) spoke in Arabic, one which differs slightly from the modern Arabic spoken today.
The Prophet Muhammad spoke Fus'ha Arabic, which is the type of Arabic that the Qur'an is written in.
Weather or not the above answer is true or false doesn't matter because whatever language Muhammad (PBUH) spoke wasn't what Jibril (Gabriel) spoke because Muhammad (PBUH) was unlearned in the language of The Holy Qur'an.
Prophet Mohammed (peace upon him) spoke Arabic.
What surah in the Quran is prophet Ibrahim mentioned?
In many verses (surahs) prophet, Adam peace upon him, is mentioned:
If Muslims don't believe in Allah are they still a Muslim?
Prayer is one of the five pillars of Islam. If one doesn't pray, you have to ask another question. Is this person not praying out of disbelief or laziness? If one doesn't pray because they don't believe prayer is necessary, then they are not considered Muslim. If one doesn't pray because they are lazy, they are considered sinners. However, they are not out of the realm of Islam.
Any sin can be forgiven by God with the exception of disbelief.
Why Muhammad is considered to be the last prophet?
Answer 1
Muhammad s.a.w
Answer 2
The answer depends entirely on the religion:
The list could go on...but all of these religions believe that these prophets (who are the last prophet according to them) received revelations from the singular Monotheistic God.
Another answer:
The existence of the "last prophet" necessitates that the time of man's rule on earth be at its end... as far as Bible prophecy is concerned. But according to prophecy, there will be TWO "last prophets" just before Jesus returns; not ONE:
"...I will permit My TWO WITNESSES, clothed in sackcloth, TO PROPHESY for one thousand, two hundred and sixty days [three-and-a-half years]." (Rev.11:3 WNT William's New Testament)
A study of this chapter in the chronologically written book of Revelation reveals that Jesus Christ returns "three-and-a-half DAYS" after they are killed, following their witnessing, prophesying and testimony against man's rule on earth. The "seventh angel" sounds his "trumpet" [the last trump, which heralds the time of the LORD's return - see I Cor.15:52]. And then, these Two Last Prophets resurrect from the dead [in Christ]... and MAN'S RULE ON EARTH COMES TO ITS END:
"...there were loud voices shouting from heaven: 'The whole world has now become the Kingdom of our LORD and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.'" (Rev.11:15 NLT New Living Translation)
After that... there will be no need for any more prophets, because the Knowledge of the LORD will be common knowledge among all the nations:
"...they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their family, saying, 'You should know the LORD.' For everyone, from the least to the greatest will already know Me." (Heb.8:11 NLT)
The "last prophet" will be TWO of them; THE TWO WITNESSES!
