Well i guess that its u that's smoking weed. I myself am boarderline, (first diagnosed as bipoler) its all bullcrap. anyways to your question.

i myself took medication starting from 15, (im 17 now and don't take any more medication), i was on all kind of anti-depressants. I can tell you from experience and talking to alot of Dr's that smoking weed will affect you differently if you are on anti-depressants. of course it really depends on how high of a dose. But if the Prozac makes you feel different anyways, then really, do not smoke weed with it. heres why:

I noticed that when i take anti-depressants and smoke weed, i get alot more of a happy feeling than JUST smoking weed. (but hold on, that's the only good part about this combination)

i noticed that the heart beating and nausea increases ALOT when combining the two, which cannot be good. You will find yourself also eventually throwing up after weed sessions too. As a frequent pot smoker myself i will tell you this; weed is addictive and ****s up your tollerence. that's why you are gunna be finding yourself (i dunno how old you are but) finding yourself need to smoke two bowls instead of one to get high like u used to. and so on. With alot of weed in ur system, the anti-depressants wont work properly and will cause you mood swing, TRUST ME on this. i know what im talking about. Ive seen it happen to myself

MY adivice is, lay off the anti-depressants man. it took me 3 years to understand that Dr's just make their money by saying you are BIPOLAR or whatever and will perscribe you anything for them to be secure about you not killing yourself. i bet if ur Dr knew you smoke weed he would have not given you medication or he would have kindly asked you to lay off the haze a bit for you to take ur meds... Now

do this

tell your dr you smoke weed, tell him EXACTLY how you smoke, how much (about) and what feeling u get when ur not on meds and smoking weed and vice versa.

he will know then what to do. but if you ask me, just tell the Dr. you don't wanna take anymore meds, and he will lower the dose for you himself (slowly) do NOT attempt to do this yourself. just don't

If you are bipolar, (i don't know your story) but if you are then weed is the best medication. The Prozac gives you more side affects than weed (depending on dosage and your weight).

to answer your question finally (sorry im kinda baked) you are hurting yourself yes by combining the two. choose one of them and go with it. Do like i do:

if you choose weed, tolerence is a piece of crap. So you have to be cautious. when you smoke weed make sure everything you need to do in that day is done, all important things done. check. then you smoke and it will feel alot better when you reward yourself with weed. That's what bipolar, depressed, boarderline, etc or whatever should be doing.

not smoking everyday, now that's hard. Buts its possible. What i do is smoke one day, smoke the next (maybe if im stressed out) then take a break between like 1-2 days,

These two are not contraindicated together. They may be taken together (unless a particular individual has not tolerated this combination - which is rare).

Don't be stupid. You don't get high off of Prozac--it is not a serotonin-dumper like ecstasy. It merely helps your brain absorb more serotonin IF you have a disorder (depression, OCD) which causes your brain not to absorb enough serotonin. If you take too many in a quest to get high, you will probably die of an overdose.

On top of that, SSRI's(Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors) like Prozac(fluoxetine) have to be taken for at least 2-3 months to reach full effects. Taking a single dose or even taking it daily for 1-2 weeks will not cause any noticeable effects. As mentioned above, taking Prozac will not get you high, and taking more than the prescribed dose won't get you high either, it will only land you in the hospital.

I am prescribed 10mg Abilify and 20mg Prozac for possible bi-polar disorder. The Prozac gets rid of the depression, and the Abilify gets rid of the Mania: they meet in the middle, or that's how my dr. explained it to me.

Ideally, clinical depression needs quick pharmaceutical intervention where some professionals believe this should be limited to less than 3 months, others continue to prescribe the medication for more than a decade. Some patients have tried to switch to lower and lower doses and taper...to no avail. The withdrawal symptoms for some people are too much to bear and still be able to function at home and work, etc. The jury is all over the place on this one...

Yes you can take Duromine with Prozac safely. I did for six months & lost 10 kilos. I wouldnt do it long term though, it will give you a kick start so by the time you come off them your tummy willl have shrunk down.

In fact i was on 60mg of Prozac it all varies on the individual, I would then take a break from it, cause it is like Meth Amphetamine (speed) just on a script.

There is no problem with the combination. Fatigue and weight gain can be from the lithium the Prozac or from the depression they treat. I suggest discussing it with your doctor.

Answer: Getting chills from Strattera is not a normal side effect, and it is more of a flu-like symptom which is not a good thing really. I am not sure about Prozac but celexa works well with it.

This is seriously going to trip you out and could possibly be fatal. You may hallucinate, have seizures, blackout, vomit, it could also cause liver damage, etc. Do not do it!

I have been on a combination of prozac 80 and elavil 100 since early 2008. I don't like being on more than one med, but it does work very well. Only complaint is the sexual side effects...no libido at all!

I don't understand. Why don't you just do both? Take the Prozac, and smoke the marijuana too.

Its like Zoloft its a pill that will work overtime not instantaniesly

I would really hope not as I am taking those dosages myself right now. It's important to follow your prescriptions though. The main side-effects i get are just blurred vision, heart palpitations, and increased anxiety.

Too much of anything can be toxic or have adverse symptoms. Anti-Depressants have different classes for their mechanisms, so its too vague when you mentioned anti-depressants in general.
