Can a ball python kill a human infant?
Depending on your snake's temperament and size. Ours in quite docile and we wear it around our necks all the time so i don't really worry about it with our 7 month old. Ours is as big as ball pythons can get at just over 5ft. I wouldn't leave the two alone together just to be safe but ball pythons won't kill what they cannot eat and they cannot eat things bigger than it's widest girth. I don't see ours wanting to hurt her unless she got hold of it. as for size i don't think it has the strength to kill an adult.. and infant i am not sure but am doubtful. I'd be more worried about bites. I've never been bitten but ball pythons don't have fangs they have loads of sharp teeth angled toward the back of their mouth. I can't imagine anyone wanting to leave their infant alone with a snake long enough to give it a chance to strangle (3 minutes minimum)

What does the caramel ball python eat?
I usually feed my baby ball python 1 LIVE mouse every 2 weeks.I don't know why people say its not good.if its not good than why do people sell mice that our suppose to be for snakes
A baby ball python should be started on rat pups as it's very difficult to switch them to rats, they are very finicky eaters. When they get bigger it's going to take a LOT of mice to feed them. My adult male is 3.5 ft long and could easily take 6 mice in one sitting without even getting a lump in his belly. As it is, he eats 2-3 medium rats every 2-3 weeks. If you want to feed live, that's your choice just watch until your snake begins eating so the mouse or rat does not kill your snake. You will have to deal with scars though. It would be cheaper to buy frozen/thawed since pet stores are trying to discourage buying their rats and mice for snake food by making live mice and rats unreasonably priced. You can buy f/t in bulk and they will last longer. A few months rather than a few days or weeks (when a rat/mouse will become too large for you snake).

How often do Reticulated Pythons eat?
It depends on too many factors - including its age and size - to give a definitive answer. In captivity, a young specimen will happily eat every 7-10 days, but an older snake (more than five years old) may only eat once a month. In its natural environment, given that it would need to hunt and catch its own food, a Burmese python could go for many months without eating !

How do you determine gender of a ball python snake?
There are two methods to determine a snake's gender, "popping" and "probing". Popping is a method of squeezing the tale which will expose the sexual organs (called hemipenes) on male snakes. The other method, probing, involves inserting a probe into the pocket behind the anal slit to determine the size of the pocket, from which the gender can be determined. Probing is more definitive, but is a more delicate procedure you may want to leave to a vet. Popping is safe and easy, although failure to expose the hemipenes may indicate a female when the subject is actually a male.
