How to setup a Hamachi Server
1. Download either the 32 bit or 64 bit server file
2. After you've downloaded the files drag the 'Minecraft server 32' or Minecraft server 64' folder onto your desktop.
3. Download Hamachi and make a network ID and password
4. Make note of the ID and password and your Hamachi IP to give to your friends.
5. Run either the 32server.bat or 64server.bat
6. Close the server down and open server.properties and edit online-mode=false and your IP as your Hamachi IP.
7. Run 32server.bat and connect to your Hamachi IP to test.
8. your friends need to connect to your Hamachi network first so they can connect.
How to setup a Non Hamachi Server
1. Test if you have Java and what operating system you are running.
2. If you don't have Java installed download it above.
3. Download either the 32 bit or 64 bit server file
4. After you've downloaded the files drag the 'Minecraft server 32' or Minecraft server 64' folder onto your desktop.
5. Go to the portforward link above and find your router model / minecraft server to open the port; 25565
6. Make sure your computers firewall and Antivirus is turned off.
7. Run either the 32server.bat or 64server.bat
8. For you to connect the server is; localhost for your friends to connect go to ipchicken to find your IP

well on the PC... it is a lot to explain so.... you can read and follow this or look it up on youtube. so here we go.
step 1.go to minecraft.net and click the download button. look down where it says download multiplayer server for windows. click the download button. then don't save it or run it just close it.
step 2. go to your downloads folder and find the server software you just downloaded. click and drag it to your desktop. create a new folder on your desktop and call in minecraft server. drag then server software you downloaded into this folder.
step 3. double click on the minecraft server software an click run. it will run and say done when it is done. then type in stop in the typing area. you will see a lot of folders that it created. start clicking on them and choosing the way you want it to be. make sure you make yourself a op. if you try to open folder and it says it cant do it then click choose a program from a list of programs. click notepad.
step 4. after you are done with all of you settings then run the server again. once you finish running it and preparing the spawn then log in to you minecraft and go to multiplayer. name it whatever you want and use the ip localhost to get on. if it works then you have followed this correctly so far.
step 5. close minecraft and the server and go to portforwarding.com. in the upper left hand corner is 2 search bars type in your brand and model. if you do not trust this site then that sucks for you. once you have typed in your brand and model (that should be on your router) then you should see a list of letters. go down to the m section and find minecraft server link in orange. click it. that should take you to a page on how to pordforward with your router. follow the steps carefully and once you are done...
step 6. go to your search bar and type in ipchicken.com take the ip that is there and copy it. run your server again and change the ip to the new one you just got. if it works then congradulations you have done it correctly. if it does not connect then you must have done something wrong with the portforwarding. sorry this is sooooooooooooooooooooooo long you should have just looked it up on youtube

Second go north of the tree until you reach the berry patch. Go one spot above the middle part of the berry patch and use your magnifying glass. It will say, You see camel hoof prints at the edge of the berry patch. Looks like this time Chauncey headed NorthEast.
Third go east into the desert area and a little north until you see a desert tree similar to the one the first clue was found near. Go to the left side of the tree and face it and use your magnifying glass. It will say, You see camel hoof prints near the tree. Looks like Chauncey went East from here.
Fourth walk straight east until you reach the palm tree. Then go on the right side of the palm tree and face it and use your magnifying glass. It will say, You see camel hoof prints by the palm tree! Now Chauncey seems to be heading SouthWest.

What is genetic pontetial on Howrse?
Howrses have 6 skill areas - Dressage, Stamina, Gallop, Trot, Jumping, and Speed. When they are born they have the potential to earn a certain amount of skill in each of those areas depending on their breed (e.g Arabians are better at Stamina than Irish Hunters who excel at Dressage). Each skill potential is added up to give the horse an overall skill count, and this is what is known as Genetic Potential - the amount of Skill points a horse is expected earn over its lifetime through training, rides, competitions, and lessons.
All starter horses begin with a genetic potential of 350 points, and these potential points are split between the horses 6 skill areas. So as I mentioned before, the Arabian will have more genetic potential in Stamina, than it will in dressage and the other skills. It may break down something like this:
Stamina 90.00 Gallop 65.00
Speed 20.00 Trot 35.00
Dressage 71.00 Jumping 69.00
Total potential reached 350.00
(Note: You won't be able to see this until you're your 4th riding level after which you will see a box on your horses pages labelled 'Genetics', in which will be the numbers you see above)
Once the foal is born and his GP is in place, you can INCREASE it by doing proper foal games. This is useful as it will make him or her more attractive for breeding and selling later on and also mean that he can gain more skills. Proper foal games will increase his GP by 1.2 points maximum (so adding 0.2 to each of his 6 skill potentials).
OK, here's where it gets interesting - Sticking with our Arabian example, you've done games with your foal and his Stamina GP has gone up to 90.20, Dressage 71.20, and Jumping 69.20. You start training, riding, and competing him, and doing lessons every day. Eventually he will get 90.20 Stamina points or more, and that skill will now show up on his page in bold type, which signifies that he has gained all he can in that area. You need to do this for each of your horse's top 3 skills (Arabians are Stamina, Dressage, and Jumping) as part of him gaining 100 BLUP.
So now you have a horse with 100 BLUP and you're ready to breed. If you breed him or her with another 100 BLUP horse of the same breed and similar or higher genetic potential, then your new foal will have a HIGHER genetic potential than its parents, and will be able to gain more points in each of its 6 skill areas over its lifetime. Now you must do foal games, achieve 100 BLUP, and repeat the process, each time gaining more and more GP.
