It could be a number of things. There is no way of telling with out seeing a doctor. Unless you notice a pattern....for example, every time you use a certain lotion or eat something in particular it happens. Otherwise I would go see a doctor if it doesn't go away by itself. You can try taking Benadryl.

The lump is likely your tailbone, it is not uncommon for people to have an extra vertabrae or two in the base of their spinal column, which will make their tailbone protrude more than the average person. This can lead to back pains. My experience was that this turned out to be a pilondal cyst. You can do research on-line about it. If it doesn't go away, is very painful and continues to swell you need to see a Dr. I agree with the pilondal cyst. I had this once, and it felt like I had injured my tailbone, and was in a lot of lower back pain. An abscess ended up showing up a few days later, and being even more painful. I would start talking to your doctor as soon as possible in case you have the same thing. It was the worst pain I was ever in. I have had these many times over a four year span. It is best to get the core cut out after the first occurrence. Otherwise it keeps growing and eventually will happen more often. As soon as you notice tenderness in that area go to the doctor for antibiotics. this may keep it from getting bigger. DO NOT poke it or try to cut it open yourself. It needs to be done by a doctor and packed with gauze to help it heal. ask for Demerol when you get it sliced open it won't be so bad but i have had three kids and this is more painful than that could ever be!!!!!Good luck everyone i am dealing with one right now!

As far as I know I've never seen it cause a rash, but it causes you to bruise fairly easy I have an iron deficiency and I can brush against something and it cause me to bruise. It could be possible what your seeing isn't a rash but a bruise. Or your rash is caused by something else.

It's probably herpes. You are going to die. i get it sometimes. don't worry, just make sure the rash doesnt spread to your penis or you have a problem

my four year old daughter out of the blue broke out in a rash on her back ribs bum and upper legs that look like scratches going every wich way from half inch to three inches long red in color , any idea what this could be.

It could be a yeast type infection of the skin, caused by moisture. There are over the counter creams for that kind of rash. Try looking for creams that treat Jock itch.

Dry, rough elbows are a common problem. Long sleeves, drying soaps, etc ... I've heard a lot of reasons as to why this happens. I think we just take our elbows for granted and forget that they are covered in skin just like our knees, feet and hands. :-) It needs moisture just like the rest of our skin. The best remedy for dry skin is exfoliating gently and then moisturizing, moisturizing, moisturizing. I have found that a good soap, excellent lotion and changing my habits have helped me keep my skin looking young and fresh. I get compliments all the time on my soft skin and face. i think it really depends on how bad it is, if its so bad it cant be kept under control i'd say don't do it, I've had eczema since i was a baby and its been bad for months then fine for months its usually easy enough to prevent flare ups by finding triggers and avoiding them.I currently have four and can honestly say eczema affects them, only one is in an area not prone to flare ups and that's undoubtably my best. i have both wrists tattooed and its been hell getting them to heal with my eczema they're still not healed and its been 4 months.I think you can get tattoos with ecsema but you'd be better off getting them in awkward places like your back or stomach.You'll need to look after them longer and be more careful and be prepared for fading if you use a steroid cream.Hope i helped!!
