Yes you can use it on poison ivy, but I would not reccommend it because it is a very strong antibiotic; you should not use antibiotics unless you have an infection... why use a prescription if you don't need to Cortaid works just as well for poison ivy (not MRSA) and is over the counter.

Yes, ... my son recently approached me one night with a red, rough rash that resembled tiny little bumps all over his chest and his back. The rash hadn't yet spread to the lower abomen and back, but we went to the ER to get checked out. He did not have a fever, his throat was red - according to the Dr., and he maybe had a slight cough, but nothing really persistent. Definietly nothing that would have me concerned that he might have strep throat...His throat culture for strep came back negative, but the Dr. placed him on antibotics for ten days...the rash cleared up in around two days, and it never spread further....so I am still questioning whether or not this was due to strep throat, but it makes sense. They called it a "Scarletina" rash. - from strep. They also said even though a culture comes back negative, you can't always trust the results. My son is fine now, and no more rash!

In case a baby shows an allergic reaction to breast mik, it is more likely that it reacts to foods which the mother eats, as they pass through the breast milk into the baby's digestive system. On many sites (especially on forums) you read that "babies are never allergic to breast milk". This is NOT true! It is very rare though. There is a genetic disease called methylmalonic acidaemia (MMA). This condition means that the baby is unable to breakdown protein and thus the protein in the milk is poisoning the whole body. i have also been suffering with the same problem for 4 years. (im 18) When i am in a situation that i am uncomfortable with or when i get angry or nervous, i break out in the hivey red rash on my chest and neck. it is horrible!! however, my doctor let me try a beta blocked known as propronolol. I take 20 mg once a day and it is cured. it has literally changed my life. PLEASE talk to your doctor about trying it. I have no more blotches!!! IT IS A MIRACLE CURE!! It works by blocking some of the adrenaline that causes an overactive response in the fight or flight part of our bodies which leads to the rash over my neck.

Can bactroban cream be used on cyst?
I have a cyst on my intergluteal cleft (butt crack) and since it was not badly infected, my doctor gave me bactroban to put on it every 8 hours (3 times a day) for 10 days.
He also told me to continue the treatment for those 10 days, even if the cyst gets better or disappears after 3-4 days.
