What did God say when the Israelites cheered after the Red Sea drowned the Egyptian army?
The Bible records that after the Red Sea was closed on the Egyptians that they Israelites broke out in song in praise of Jehovah God. There is no record of anything God said in direct response to this. However, shortly thereafter, he did speak. The account is recorded in Exodus chapter 15:
(Exodus 15:1-27) At that time Moses and the Israelites sang this song to Jehovah: "Let me sing to Jehovah, for he has become highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea. 2 My strength and my might is Jah, since he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him; my father's God, and I will exalt him. 3 Jehovah is a powerful warrior. Jehovah is his name. 4 Pharʹaoh's chariots and his army He has cast into the sea, And his finest warriors have sunk into the Red Sea. 5 The surging waters covered them; down into the depths they sank like a stone. 6 Your right hand, O Jehovah, is great in power; Your right hand, O Jehovah, can shatter an enemy. 7 In your great majesty you can throw down those who rise up against you; You send out your burning anger, it eats them up like stubble. 8 By a breath from your nostrils waters massed together; They stood still, holding back the floods; The surging waters congealed in the heart of the sea. 9 The enemy said: 'I will pursue! I will overtake! I will divide spoil until I am satisfied! I will draw my sword! My hand will subdue them!' 10 You blew with your breath, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in majestic waters. 11 Who among the gods is like you, O Jehovah? Who is like you, showing yourself mighty in holiness? The One to be feared with songs of praise, the One doing wonders. 12 You stretched out your right hand, and the earth swallowed them up. 13 In your loyal love you have led the people whom you have redeemed; In your strength you will guide them to your holy place of dwelling. 14 Peoples must hear; they will shudder; Anguish will seize the inhabitants of Phi·lisʹti·a. 15 At that time the sheikhs of Eʹdom will be terrified, And trembling will take hold of the mighty rulers of Moʹab. All the inhabitants of Caʹnaan will be disheartened. 16 Fear and dread will fall upon them. Because of the greatness of your arm they will be as motionless as a stone Until your people pass by, O Jehovah, Until the people whom you produced pass by. 17 You will bring them and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, The established place that you have prepared for yourself to inhabit, O Jehovah, A sanctuary, O Jehovah, that your hands have established. 18 Jehovah will rule as king forever and ever. 19 When Pharʹaoh's horses with his war chariots and his cavalrymen went into the sea, Then Jehovah brought back the waters of the sea upon them, But the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the midst of the sea." 20 Then Mirʹi·am the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her with tambourines and with dances. 21 Mirʹi·am sang in response to the men: "Sing to Jehovah, for he has become highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea."
22 Moses later led Israel away from the Red Sea, and they went out to the wilderness of Shur and marched on for three days in the wilderness, but they did not find water. 23 They came to Maʹrah, but they were not able to drink the water from Maʹrah because it was bitter. That is why he named it Maʹrah. 24 So the people began to murmur against Moses, saying: "What are we to drink?" 25 He cried out to Jehovah, and Jehovah directed him to a tree. When he threw it into the water, the water became sweet. There He established for them a regulation and a case for judgment, and there He put them to the test. 26 He said: "If you will strictly listen to the voice of Jehovah your God and will do what is right in his eyes and will pay attention to his commandments and keep all his regulations, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I, Jehovah, am healing you."27 After that they came to Eʹlim, where there were 12 springs of water and 70 palm trees. So they camped there by the water.
What makes the vermilion sea red?
The Gulf of California gets its name the Vermilion Sea from the presence of billions of tiny microscopical one-celled animals, which are classified under the name 'Noctiluca' more specific 'Noctiluca miliaris'. Some of these produce light, hence the name Noctiluca. These are spherical protozoa, about one millimeter in diameter of a faint pink color. When they float near the shores, often in inconceivable numbers, they give the sea the appearance of being red.
no you idiot the red sea is definetly not even close to the red sea!
What was the name of the desert after Moses crossed the Red Sea?
The first wilderness (not"desert") which is mentioned after the crossing of the Red Sea is the Wilderness of Shur (Exodus 15:22).
Do crocodile lives in red sea?
There is a detailed distribution map of the Nile Crocodile that can be found at:
www.fmlnh.ufl.edu/cnhc/cst_cnil_dh_map.htm
You will see from this map that the nile croc only occupies the south east tip of Egypt and does not extend to hurghada let alone sharm el sheikh. Therefore for practical tourist purposes there are no crocodiles in the Red Sea.

Did moses parted the dead sea or the red sea?
It was the red sea. I remember this because in Bruce Almighty, Bruc parted his tomato soup with his new godly powers just like the Red Sea.
Why is bab el mandeb called the gate of tears?
Their are several reasons, the first may be due to the difficulty in navigating this waterway which has seen many shipwrecks and the associated loss of life. The other possible reason is an old Arab legend which describes in antiquity, a great quake which killed untold thousands and divided Africa from Asia.
Is it true or false that Joshua led Israel across the Red Sea and into Canaan as God had commanded?
False. According to the Biblical narrative, Moses led the Israelites across the Sea of Reeds, and Joshua later led them across the Jordan River.
According to archaeologists, there is no evidence to suggest that Joshua lived at all. (Though absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.)
Does Paris border the Mediterranean Sea?

the nearest point on the Mediterranean coast.
What are the characteristics of red sea?
I have the same problem as I am doing a science project on it at the moment. I believe that the characteristics of the red sea are;
I also believe this about the red sea;
A continental shelf extends from the coast to a maximum distance of 120 km from the port of Massawa, narrowing to about 20 km in the north and south of the country. Its average depth is about 200 metres, and on it lie many low, flat coralline islands such as Dahlak Kebir and Nora, some fewer islands of continental origin such as Howakil and Dissei, and the rare volcanic island of Sanahor. Fringing reefs surround many island, scattered sea grass beds and sandy beaches are widespread, and mangroves line many coasts. These characteristics, in conjunction with a low rate of human settlement on coast and islands, have allowed protected marine species such as sea turtles and dugong to flourish.
Rocky deserts, sand dunes and salt marshes characterise Eritrea's coastline. The coastal plains are very dry and receive only scanty amount of rainfall (less than 200 mm/year). No wonder its population is very small-mostly concentrated on the two ports of Massawa and Assab, with almost the entire fishing communities located in the Dahlak archipelago and on the coastline south of Massawa up to the border with Djibouti, including the islands of Hawakil Bay. Most of the fresh water source is located away from the coast and getting water therefore becomes a major operation involving camels and, in some cases, trucks and boats. Some of the islands are connected to the mainland during low tide, and people then take the chance to walk to the mainland to do chores like fetching water.
The greater wonder, one may think, is why peoples settled here at all.But these are no ordinary people, many of them descendants of ancient mariners who have in the past heeded the call of the deep, and linked the ancient cultures of Africa and Asia across the Red Sea. Many may have originated from the east, from the Arabian peninsula, but a mixed ethnic population resulted from forced migrations due to war, famine, the slave trade, and other exigencies.
The people inhabiting the coastline and Islands include the Afar, Saho, Tigre (Dahalik) and Rashaida. The Afar and Saho people in particular depend on the sea for their lives, being expert fishermen and/or traders in their frail sambuks. On the whole, Eritrea's Red Sea people have maintained their traditional lifestyle of fishing as well as herding goats and camels.
The Afar, for one, are keepers of the ancient art of celestial navigation - they are known to navigate by the night sky without the help of compass, GPS (global positioning system) or any high-tech means of finding location. In ancient times, knowledge of celestial navigation was held as the near-mystical power of a good sailor. The ability to navigated by the night sky implies a strong connection with the natural world, from which many of us have become alienated, as well as our shared past. It only makes per fect sense then that the Afar community actually has a strong tradition of managing their resources through their elders. And that the word "conservation" (dagro) exists in the language, and even better, they have separate terms for "conserve!" (dagursuma) and "let's conserve" (dagurnai).
I hope this helps :)
The red sea is near Egypt and Asia.
The mineral-rich red mountain ranges inspired the mariners of antiquity to name it the Red Sea. Today, the ancient ports are better known as some of the best diving and fishing resorts in the world. The Red Sea is a seawater inlet of the Indian Ocean, lying between Africa and Asia.
What is a port city on the Red Sea in Egypt that begins with El?
The word "el" or "al" in Arabic means "the", so there are a few of port cities along the Red Sea that start with "el" such as el-Hurghada and el-Qusayr.
