Yes, keeping the freezer full helps it retain the cold and keeps food frozen long in case there is a power out.

Group foods together putting raw meats on the bottom, cooked meats above that, fruits and veggies next and breads and other baked goods that can't drip and contaminate foods on the top.

Freeze ice, flour, rice, dry beans, dry pasta or other freezable pantry items to fill any extra space in the freezer. If the freezer is empty only thing in there will be air. So energy will be spent to cool the air which being a bad conductor will take lot of power. And then when someone opens the freezer cool air from inside mixes with hot air outside effectively raising the temperature in the freezer. The freezer has to work again to cool this hot air back to the earlier levels. So filling up the empty space in freezer with stuff (preferably but not necessarily food stuff)

Depending on which way the mechanical switch is positioned, the ice either travels directly out the chute (cubed) or through an auger which crushes the ice before dispensing it.

I assume your question should end with "than the air outside the refrigerator". If so then the answer is yes. Most of the humidity in the air inside the fridge (and freezer) will condense onto the cold surfaces. As new air is introduced, either by opening and closing the door, or leaving the door ajar, or thru a leaky door seal, more moisture condenses, these are some reason why a freezer will ice up quickly. for modified sine wave inverter (most common type, if it doesn't say than it's modified sine) a safe bet would be the 1,000 watt inverters or higher because the mini fridge will surge 3-5 times its continuous rated wattage for anywhere from 1-10 seconds. so although your fridge only needs 90-150 watts to run it might burn out an inverter say in the 150-300 watt range. a modified sine wave 1,000 watt inverter is about $65-100. you are supposed to buy pure sine wave inverters for a fridge, but those are expensive. you do run the risk of ruining the fridge faster if you do not run pure sine wave , however.

As this is not a "Do-It-Yourself" kind of job, the best advice anyone can give to you is to call a licensed Heating and Ventilation engineer to advise you.

I've told someone this before so I'll just copy and paste what i said because i put it in the simplist way possible.I've had that problem too.I went outside and waited till about 10:00 and then watched the shopping channel all the way through until where he stops so all the way through. Then i went in and called at about 10:00 to 11:00 and it worked.

Check the alignment of the hinges a heavy door or a sudden impact can knock them, out of alignment. The half of the hinge on the refrigerator side should be adjustable so loosen the bolts and have an assistant hold the door squarely against the unit and tighten the bolts.

Also the seal may be bad, this is available at an appliance parts store or online, just google appliance parts warehouse, the seal is held on with adhesive.

Generally in most cases it would be a blocked drain.

When a fridge goes into the defrost cycle the water defrosts and goes down the drain and into the evaporator.
