Vizio soundbars (and soundbars) are not pre-programmed into URC remotes. You will have to use the head-to-head learning function of the WR7 as outlined in the manual on page 16.

Each code in the RCR3273 remote control is intended to work with a specific TV, VCR, DVD, Satellite, Cable, or DVR box. TV codes start with 1 and are intended to work with the TV button, Satellite/Cable Box codes start with 5 and are intended to work with the SAT/CB button. All other codes work with the DVD/VCR button.

If you have the code, press the button at the top of the remote that corresponds to your device type (TV, Satellite/Cable, or DVD/VCR/DVR) and hold it for three seconds. The light should stay on. Continue to press this button throughout the programming process.

Enter the code for your device. Remember, TV codes start with 1, Satellite/Cable box codes start with 5. Enter all 4 digits in the number. The light on the remove should turn off when you press the first button. If the LED blinks 4 times at any point during code entry, you entered an invalid code. Once you have entered the last digit , the light on the remote should turn back on.

Remember to check your work by going through the full complement of remote functions.

I searched the internet looking for a way to program my comcast remote to work on my plain old 32" Sylvania TV. Nothing worked. The codes given by comcast didn't work. I read on another web site (askdave) where people with new Sony big screens were having the same problem. Their problem was solved by entering a 1 in front of the four digit number on comcast's list for their TV. I tried this for my Sylvania and the third code in the list worked with the 1 in front of it. Hope this helps.

I just bought the Samsung BD-C5500 HTiB and used code 85 listed under Emerson to control my Dynex 40" LCD TV. It does not seem to work for "Function/TV Source" but Power, Vol & Tuning/Ch work well.

most remotes use infrared light (IR)

more expensive remotes use radio frequency (RF)

IR is shortrange and requires line of sight... think of it like a flashlight...you could bounce it off a mirror at the TV and it would get there, but if something is in the way the light gets blocked.

RF is radio waves and can travel through walls and other objects...to operate devices in another room.

The purpose of a remote control extender is to make it easier for a person to use their remote. When using a remote control extender, a person would not have to point their remote directly at the device they wish to control.

Ok it took me a long time to figure this out but i got it.. the correct code is 135 and i was shocked to learn that almost every button actually works with that code. i was looking on the internet for days and never got my answer but i found it so i had to share it.. enjoy

There are a number of Motorola cable boxes. Use the link to see if yours is there and find some codes.

Before attempting to program the remote, ensure that the desired device is turned on and that the corresponding three digit code for the specific device is at hand. Start by pressing the Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Press the desired mode button and release (TV, DVD),the red indicator should blink and then stay lit.Enter three digit code. A successful code entry will result in the indicator turning off, and, an unsuccessful attempt will result in the indicator flashing. In the event of multiple unsuccessful attempts, use different code for corresponding brand.

I can't find the manufacture. I can't find who sells them or who installs them. I can;t find but one manual on the internet[ rapid share] that doesn't work. I'm not giving up because one day the battery will run out.

It depends on what brand your TV is. For example, Magnavox is a brand.

We bought three of them at our local Wal-Mart. Model UC7086T. They may or may not still carry them, but I'd try there first. Installation is pretty straight forward. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! It will save a lot of time troubleshooting.

I strongly disagree because us Mainer's call it the Clicka not the clicker or the remote control of even the fridge.

what is the code to program a Sony TV with a philips universal remote

The remote codes for a Zenith TV VCR combo vary greatly based on the model of universal remote. Some use 153 and 154, while others use 172.

Two easy suggestions. 1) Trick: pre-pend a 1 to the code. Some have found by just adding an additional "1" in-front of the comcast remote code works. For, example, My Magnavox codes found at: http://www.comcast.com/MediaLibrary/1/2/CM/VanityURL/documents/comcast_dvr_remote_manual.pdf were 0054, 0030, 0179, & 0186.

So I should try 10054, 10030, 10179, 10186.

2) Goto the remote manufacturer's site. I found out that my comcast remote is made by UEI at this URL: http://www.urcsupport.com/ I found my remote on that page (one similiar, not exact) and clicked for the codes. which led me here (great page...) http://www.urcsupport.com/html.php?page_id=329

It asked for my "BRAND" (magnavox) and "MODEL" (left blank). it returned code: 10054 Same as one in answer #1 AND IT WORKED!!! Good Luck
