First of all, you can only pick lock with Alyssa. Second of all, you can only pick the lock of the doors that read "It's locked by a simple lock." Those are the only doors that you can pick lock.

To get the Basement 2 key, you need to go around the rooms or the area and find a note that will say a specific word to put in. For example, it will say DESK. After you go all the way up, make sure that you get the Model Wheel before you start your climb up the long ventilation tower. This is an important item because it will help you escape. After you reach the top of the tower, use the Model Wheel exactly where you need to. After that, go up the ladder and your home free.
