Rudolph, Santa's ninth reindeer, was the creation of Robert L. May, a character in a book published by the Montgomery Ward Company in 1939. Johnny Marks, Robert May's brother-in-law, adapted the story into the popular song. The song was first sung by Harry Brannon and later released by Gene Autry 25 November 1949, by whom it is most well known.
Rudolph is depicted as a male in the cartoon, (he falls in love with the little doe.) However, at Christmas time, all reindeer with antlers are female. Males shed their antlers before winter.

No, Santa is not evil. Santa is based on St. Nicholas, a Greek bishop during the 4th century AD who was later sainted by the Catholic church. St. Nicholas was well known for secretly giving gifts to others. This giving spirit is what is portrayed in our current Santa Claus.
While Santa is not found in the Bible, he is not found in Christianity with the exception of the fact that he is based on a saint, the giving spirit that is found in Santa and during the Christmas holidays in general is also found in the Bible and it is a characteristic of Jesus himself. According to Christian beliefs, Jesus gave up his life for you and I. That was the ultimate gift, the ultimate sacrifice.
Furthermore, Santa Claus is whatever one makes of him. To each person, he comes off a different way. Though television has done a lot of work for people on who Santa is, what Santa does, and what Santa is like, it does not make it true for anyone and how they believe Santa to be.
There have been hundreds of artists to have recorded Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. However, it was Gene Autry that made it a number one hit in 1949.
Santa doesn't exist therefore no reindeer pull Santa's sleigh.
The Abominable Snow Monster of the North (a.k.a. Bumble) - A large, ferocious ape-like mammal of unspecified species, possibly a yeti. As the main antagonist, he pursues Hermey and Rudolph throughout their adventure. The sight of Rudolph's glowing red nose drives Bumble into a rage. Sam the snowman also explains that the monster hates everything to do with Christmas. Later, the Abominable Snow Monster captures Rudolph and his family at his cave. Yukon and Hermey come to the rescue by knocking the monster unconscious and extracting all his teeth. Near the end of the film he has a change of heart, and he is seen putting the star on top of the Christmas tree and becoming a part of Christmastown .

Rudolph the red nose reindeer
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw him
You would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names
they never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games
then on foggy Christmas eve
Santa came to say
"Rudolph with your nose so bright
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then all the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee
"Rudolph the red nose reindeer,
You'll go down in history!"
