I dont know, but I am also itching like crazy and the only singe thing Ive been doing differently lately, is taking calcium and Vitamin D tablets. So, I suspect that its an allergy to something in the make up of the tablet, not the vitamin itself.

Allergic reaction to a food or simply fleas seeing that the entire family has it, it is likely to be that and not an allergy to foods or chemicals such as detergents.

Could even be scabies, it is very contagious just by skin contact or have you started using a different kind of soap powder? Could be many things.

I have the same question and have not been able to find out whether it is beyond a nurses's scope of practice or not. Dr's are ordering it in the inpatient setting.

I see this daily...one of two things. Flea allergy or something it's come into contact with. Your vet will tell you to use flea control, or prescribe medication for the itching and possibly antibiotics. No big deal.

I assume you are referring to Oxycontin, if so, then usually itching when you take it is caused by an allergic reaction and you should consult your doctor immediately!

I have occaisonally had sores on my scalp amd then they will scab when I scratch tjem when thy itch. Someone said this could be cancer.

You do not have cancer. Itchy scalps generally mean over or under production of sebaceous oils. This is due to an imbalance of minerals in your body. This is triggered by emotions, stress, depression and environmental conditions. Eat your 5-10 servings of vegetables a day. Love yourself. Make sure you get ALL necessary vitamins and minerals (preferably from source not a multi vit). If there is still a problem, use tea tree oil. Concentrated. Do NOT use drug store dandruff scalp shampoos. Buy tea tree oil, put it on your fingertips and rub into your scalp daily. As the problem decreases start spacing out your usage. Stitches itch because its touchin ur skin

It could be eczema..it is itchy skin, you get little red spots on it and your dead skin falls off more than normal. When I had it I used cream for my hands (non-allergic cream) to smooth the skin.

Many surface rashes are reactions to environmental changes. Recently cut grass, fresh flowers and new laundry or body soaps and lotions can all impact on the skin.

You are probably itchy due to sweat and increased plood perfusion to the skin.

The sensation of an itch is caused by activation of sensory receptors located all over your skin. As you exercise, of course you sweat. This releases a combination of salt and water onto the skin which cound activate those receptors,

Same with the blood inside your body. During physical activity your cardiac output (how much blood your heart pumps per minute) increases five times the resting rate to approx. 25L/min.

Most of this blood during exercise goes to the muscles and skin - so the skin is getting 3,500ml of blood per minute as opposed to it's regular resting measurement of 1,000ml/min.

That's more than double the resting percentage.

If you are experiencing a rash of any kind that doesn't go away after a few hours after physical exercise, please see your doctor. Likewise if your itching is severe, or accompanied with other symptoms.

It could be mites or fungi.

The scabies mite is tiny. Very difficult to see with the naked eye. The same as when it's alive, except it's not moving.

Mine did. It might be due to the healing process. When mine itches, I would wash my mouth with the mouthwash or take a drink. it usually worked.

Clobetasol Propionate is not considered a cure for scabies. The medicine is a dermatology cream, however, and is typically prescribed for acne.

They can't cause itches unless they are allergic to your skin. Or else the itches may be due to unclean ornaments.

The next most powerful OTC anti-fungal is terbinafine; brand name in the US is Lamisil.
