School Uniforms

Personally, I go to a school where I have to wear uniforms. I don't mind very much because they are quite stylish! On the upside you don't have to pick out clothes every single morning you can just throw on your handy dandy uniform which is very stylish. Also you don't have to worry about being bullied about your clothes because everyone is wearing their very handy dandy stylish uniforms. On the downside if you are a fashionista you can't change up a uniform that much, but don't worry the uniforms are very stylish. Oh and don't worry you can always find a loop hole in the uniform code even if it says no colored socks throw them on and don't worry about your gym teacher getting mad! THIS IS NOT TRUE SOMEONE ELSE WROTE THIS: I really don't know, but I am going to support the uniforms. They make your school look more sufisticanted, and it could improve a lot of things. Those things could mean a lot to your child's grade. When kids are dressed the same you have no worries on who is going to make fun of who because of there clothing. It is also a very easy to figure out who is not belonging in the school. Hitler loved school uniforms so presumably they might be bad......

On the contrary, as others have said, it stops bullying, means less one upmanship regarding trainers etc, helps those less fortunate, and shows outsiders that you are from a certain school.It makes a better person,

Food and Finance High School has sends a letter in the mail with a disc and 'Welcome' letter. On the disc under the folder 'Parent/Caregiver' there's documents with the Chef/Shop uniform and gym uniform. You can give these in during the orientation.

Yes, parents could be affected by school uniforms because if a Parent is very Creative they might like to buy their Children clothes, or if a parent wants their child to be artistic this could be a drawback. Also uniforms could be expensive, plus, with buying uniforms, if they only want to buy like 3 for a week, they would have to make sure those 3 are ALWAYS clean.

There are several reasons that students should wear uniforms. A uniform advertises the school and announces that the wearer is from a certain school. On a day-to-day basis, a uniform takes away the pressure of buying school clothing and deciding what to wear -- this equalizes the students in the school (somewhat) and helps less well-off students feel that they belong without having to spend money on clothes. It assures that students are properly dressed for school as well.

Recent studies have shown that schools that support a uniform policy commonly have higher grade averages than schools that do not. It doesn't mean that nonuniform schools aren't good places to learn either.

One reason of the uniform is to make everybody the same.

In a good class, that can be of help because the "flock" tends to help out more and also the "flock" work harder to make achievements.

Equally so in a bad class, if some make trouble, the entire "flock" makes trouble.

In schools where there are no required school uniforms, classes can be divided in a trouble group and a working group. The trouble group slows down the working group.

If trying to make sense out of this then try to follow.

I would claim that uniforms helps raising the grades for everybody if you end up in a good class where there is order.

In other words, More students with higher grades than they otherwise would have got.

In a bad uniformed class without that order, the grades go down for everybody and lower grades for pupils that would otherwise get better ones.

In a non uniformed school there would be fewer with exceptionally high grades and fewer with equally bad grades, but more in the middle aspect.

This probably because they tend to socialize more.

Uniforms prepares you for doing what you are told

not uniforms broadens ones ability for solving problems on a wider spectrum. Probably better for preparing ppl for the real life when school is over.

Not commonly. Usually, female students who go to uniformed school have to wear either a skirt of pants.
