it's an antipsychotic, it makes you get sleepy and maybe too tired to be crazy. it definitely puts your sleep cycle back in order which is crucial for stopping a manic episode.

Hi. I have Bipolar 1 and currently take 50 mg Seroquel and 200 mg Lamictal. I was just put on 10mg Celexa to help with unexpected depression. And I take Ativan sparingly if I feel anxious. They can be taken together, but I do not know about dosage. I think it's best if you check with your doctor. Good luck!

Yes, i have been using it for years! Definently helps in the weight loss department. Only downside to it is that you have to be doing some king of physical exercise for it to work.

I take 600-800mg a day and I am STILL all over the place emotionally so I don't see how you might lose all emotions. I am ultra-rapid cycling bipolar though so take that as you will. If you are experiencing this I would swap meds with your pdoc, I'm sure they will be able to juggle them around a bit.

I can't say whether or not you should take it because I am not a doctor. But I lost my health insurance and I have been taking expired Seroquel for months and I am doing fine. My roommate's father was a doctor and she said the strength wears off so you may need to increase your dosage but so far I have kept my dosage the same and am doing just fine.

They can certainly make you feel sluggish and tired if taken together. I am assuming you are under a doctor's care - usually I see one drug or the other, but not both together. The number one side effect of both medicines is sedation or sleepiness.

Of course, there is always the possibility that you're just having a normal depressive cycle, and that it has nothing to do with anything going on in your life.

If you take them in their rx'd doses, it shouldn't cause an 'overdose', but if you take the entire bottle of each (a 30 day supply), more than likely you'll end up in the ER (but not dead). If your dr has ok'd it, just take it as perscribed, though a side effect from the first 4 can be drowsiness.

I havent had a problem with it yet. Its been 2 weeks since I got the flu shot. So if something were to happen I feel it would have by now. I am sure its perfectly safe. But not everyone is the same.

Depends on the amount of Quetiapine in the tablet. But Seroquel is relatively hard to overdose on as it is designed for people with psychotic disorders. You may end up with a sore stomach, vomiting, palpitations, dizziness etc.
