Wear and tear: A sewing needle should be replaced any time it bends or breaks. If this hasn't occured, you sew often, and you haven't changed the needle, perhaps it's good to change the needle once a year or so (since it may dull with frequent use).

So his friend Takashi, who had darker skin, donated his skin in order to save Black Jack, otherwise he would have died.
