I always find it easier to iron on the bonding before you cut out the shapes. It doesn't have one. A lot of sewing machines don't have on/off switches apart for working the light. The foot pedal usually disconnects the power when not pressed but this can not be relied on. Therefore you should never leave a sewing machine plugged in when not in use. Often the early models have a suppression capacitor in the foot pedal that can go short circuit making the machine run on its own.
