There lived a wood cutter in a village. One day he was cutting wood in jungle near a pond. Suddenly his axe fell into a river. The river was very deep and the wood cutter did not know how to swim or dive. So, he was sitting there with a heavy heart. He was very poor and he had not the money to buy another axe. He was thinking what to do. He was very depressed and blaming his lot. Suddenly, he heard a voice and saw a fairy before him. The fairy asked him why he was crying. He told her everything. The fairy took pity on him. She went into the river and came back with a golden axe. She asked the wood cutter if his axe was. The wood cutter replied in the negative. She then again went into the water and returned with a silver one. This time also the wood-cutter refused to take it. Finally, she brought the axe of the wood cutter from the water. The wood cutter was delighted to get back his iron axe. The fairy became very pleased with the wood cutter at his honesty and gave him the two valuable axes as reward. Honesty is thus always rewarded.

The painted door can symbolize many things, for instance. The fact that John and Anne's relationship is falling apart, and she wants to paint the door, why do we paint to cover up things. Maybe she is denying that things are not what she expected them to be therefore she wants to deny her unhappiness and her urge for disloyalty. Usually door symbolizes the beginning or end of a 'thing' in this story it symbolizes the relationship. Also you may want to read the story again, in a part of the story Anne actually says there as if another coat of paint could make it different anyway.'

Preciosa: The little gypsy girl who turns out to be of "noble" origins. She's described in very good terms throughout the novel, meaning she's sort of "perfect" among her gypsy crowd. Her beauty is well known and she stands out everywhere.

The Grandmother (Old Gypsy): She raised Preciosa as a gypsy and the girl grew up calling her grandmother, she cares for her until the end, when it is revealed that she (the grandmother) robbed the girl from the real parents.

The Suitor (Don Juan de Cárcamo or Andrés): He's in love with Preciosa and proposed to her. He's from a nobel family and is destined to go to the military. He goes flees with the gypsy caravan as soon as he can and they promise him Preciosa's hand, although they get married at the end, when the girl reunites with the parents.

Dame Van Winkle is portrayed as a very critical, demanding, and strict wife towards Rip Van Winkle. She constantly nags at him and scolds him for not completing his chores or providing for the family, creating a tense and unbalanced dynamic in their relationship.

Bennie is faced with death when his grandmother passes away, she did not know he knew it was coming. However, he overheard the doctor tell her early on, and he was awaiting that day. The theme would be that Bennie has to prepare himself for death and then once his grandma does die, he has to cope with the fact that she is gone.

In "The Fall of the House of Usher," the object serves to build a sense of dread and foreboding. It reflects the decay and madness of the Usher family, mirroring the deteriorating state of the house itself. Its presence intensifies the eerie atmosphere and contributes to the overall atmosphere of Gothic horror in the story.

The one I am thinking about was written by an Italian man, Luigi Pirandello- all of the action takes place, not on some battle front- but in the confines of a subway or railroad car where three men present their views on War in general, no pun intended. the conflict of interest is World War I.

Le Gleo from "Three Skeleton Key" can be described as brave, resourceful, and level-headed. He remains calm and rational in the face of danger, demonstrating quick thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.

The actual summary revolves around the story being an allegory of the cold war. Both sides never met in combat, but kept trying to outdo each other. The shape of the walls wasn't meant to draw people to the towns, but to "Defeat" The other towns' wall. Example: When one wall was built in the shape of a blunt stick, The other town built their wall in the shape of a fire, to burn the stick. When one town recreated their wall to make it look like a sun, the other town built a new wall in the shape of the moon, to block out the sun."

I went home, I thought about it. My was in the kitchen preparing our lunch nd dad was not at home. I went closer and hugged her from behind. She did not take it much offensive, and only simply told me to leave her as she is busy. I remained glued to her body from behind in my tight embrace to her.I was already very hard holding her .
