Your terminology leaves me just a bit confused. "Ward" may be the name of a gunsmith or lockmaker, but it usually refers to firearms retailed by Montgomery Ward, and since this company did not exist prior to the Civil War it would have to be a modern reproduction. Assuming that this is an original from around 1850, it would almost certainly be a double barrel shotgun and not a musket. Unless the gun can be connected to a famous maker, the value would be somewhere between $100 and $800 depending on condition.

Do you know the model name or number? I'm guessing it is a single shot Champion valued from $25 for a parts gun to $125 in Excellent condition with a plain rib. The version with a matte rib runs about $25 higher and the Trap Grade with a ventilated rib ranges from $100 to $275. Double barrel guns will be higher.

You'll probably have to find a gunsmith who can make your parts. Shotguns marked Baker Gun Co were made in Belgium or by Crescent Fire Arms, Meriden, CT, for H & D Folsom in the early 20th Century.

I can tell you that with the Western Field name, it's not a Browning product. This was a trade name used by Montgomery Ward. It may be marked with a Browning patent, but was probably made by Stevens/Savage.

SAVAGE most likely. They produced a number of these for SEARS including the model 101.40B. Would be nice to see a table that shows the identical SAVAGE model no's, so I can order parts for one myself too...

This would be a Stevens gun made c. 1921-1931. If it is fully functional, not quite like new but not badly worn, it should be worth between $150 and $250.

This name was put on shotguns by Crescent Fire Arms Co, Davis-Warner Arms Corp., and also by at least one unidentified Belgian maker for Spear and Company.

If it is marked only Blue Grass, not Blue Grass Model 1900 or Bluegrass Arms Co, and is a hammer double, it was made by Hopkins & Allen Arms, 1896 to 1915, according to Vorisek's Shotgun Markings.

Is there any more to the name? Vorisek lists only single shot guns marked only "Nitro".

I just came into a Union Arms double-barrel and the only info I have found is that the guns made under the Union Arms of Toledo, Ohio label were built between 1910 and 1913. Afterwards, the company went out of business. I would guess that unless you found someone with a non-working gun that was willing to part with the desired part, you are out of luck.

The 5100 was made from 1931 to 1941. I didn't know a single trigger was available in the Springfield line. I own an old Springfield double barrel 20 gauge, serial number E67029. Is Springfield the actual model name, I see no reference anywhere to a model 5100. How do I verify what I have. Well, Apollo50, tell us what IS marked on it and maybe we can tell you something.
