I have a Stevens 1915 410 with one barrel riffled and its in perfect working order, dead accurate, and its in the best condition I have ever seen for that time era. Mines been feeding the family for generations.

The model 235 hammer boxlock prices asof the year 2000, are NIB-800, EXC-400, V.g.350, good-300,Fair-250 poor-200.

I recently purchased a used 12 ga Charles Daly Superior Skeet shotgun from Gander Mountain. It is in very good (90%) condition. I paid $600 US for it and I consider this to be a fair price for this particular gun. As a national chain sporting goods store, Gander Mountain uses fair market value to retail all of it's gun offerings, both new and used. This particular shotgun would have sold for about $300 new in 1965 when Charles Daly started to import these Japanese guns which closely mimic the Browning Citori (also made by BC Miroku). Citoris were also much less expensive (although considerably more expensive than the look-a-like Daly)in the 1960's and have also gained in value on the used gun market as has the Daly.

i have a central arms co single shot 410 that i believe to be made somewhere around 6-20-36 now this might be the serial number or the date there is only one other number 524 on the barrel but on the wood on the inside it reads 506d

I have the same gun and have no luck finding any of the answers you are looking for. My gun is in pretty good shape and can still read that it was produced by the Central Arms Company but have been unable to find out any thing else. Please let me know if you come up with anything. I was told by a friend of mine that during the wars people would building guns out of their shops or houses so people started calling them house guns. Sorry I couldn't be more help. good luck. Bolt action shotguns in usable condition will retail for $100 - $125. They could have been made anytime from 1908 to 1960. With the rest of the markings on the gun, we might be able to identify the actual manufacturer's model number and determine a range of dates when that model was produced.

Crescent firearms were made from 1892 to 1932.

Ithaca absorbed several older companies and would have acquired their patents, so the 1880 date probably refers to a patent previously held by Syracuse Arms, Lefever Arms, Union Fire Arms, or Wilkes-Barre Gun Company.

The model 100 .30-30, if it's the one with the visible hammer, is a copy of the Winchester '94. It was probably made by Winchester. A Winchester '94 stock can be made to fit. If it's the hammerless model it's a copy of a Savage '99. A Savage '99 stock can be made to fit it. I suggest you get a magnifier and relook the model number. It is probably a 30-SB562A. I have one that I would not part with. I was told that it was probably 80 years old but that does not square with what I have read in other entries at this site.

High Standard Field King S/N 501,424 shipped 11/5/1955 as a catalog number 9116. Value is greatly dependent on condition and condition was not specified. $650 in perfect condition $425 with 90% of the original finish remaining.

I assume your Ithaca is a common grade, such as field or 1. 1916 was the middle of the flues-double era and one in VG to excellent shape would be worth about $600. Your is probably worth $150-$300 depending on the details such as the extent of the pitting and wood damage, tightnessand fit of the action, grade of the gun, whether it's all original and whether has any factory options such as single trigger or ejectors. If the shotgun has any sentimental significance to you, you might want to just keep it. I've sold a few old guns because they were in rough shape and I'd pay twice the price to get them back now. Finally, be very careful if you fire your old Ithaca -- modern smokeless powder and powerful loads can rupture the barrels and injure or kill the user. Some additional info: The barrel pitting is on the exterior of the barrels and is minor. The bores are clean with no pitting. Both barrels are stamped "Smokeless Powder Steel". The receiver/action is tight. The wood has some scratches and mars but no chips or cracks. The gun has double triggers. The receiver has engraved on both sides a dog on point between two bushes. $100.00 to over $10,000.00! You need to provide a lot of information to expect even a rough estimation of a gun's value.

Mostly the name stamped on the side. Springfield was the economy version of the Stevens line, and Stevens was the economy version of Savage, so they may have a bit less care in the fit and finish or even used cheaper wood, but the parts should be 100% interchangeable.

These guns, with two alpha digits at the end, indicate it was made between 1929 and 1939. Because it is an "XH," my guess is the late 30s.

If the gun is in good condition with no rust it would be a great mantle piece. Because of it's age(?) it might not be as safe to shoot modern ammo. For this, the guns' money value would be approx. $65-$125.

Stevens guns were marked J. Stevens Arms Co from 1920 to 1942. Utility grade slide action shotgun, blued finish and walnut stocks. NRA Poor = $50, Excellent = $150. Manufactured 1926 to 1945.

I got one from e-gunparts.com, which is Numrich. They have schematics for many guns.
