It's depending on how fresh the shrimps are and how they are prepared. If you go to sushi restaurants, you'd see raw shrimps served all the time.

yes usually if it is a strong smell then wash it if it keep smelling wash it but with Clorox bleach so the smell can reduce other wise the smell will go away on it own. for the future do not put the shrimp inside the garbage, always put them in a plastic so it's water cannot spill inside the trash. and since the shrimp smell, take out the trash can imediately so the smell cannot be in your house. i know this because i watch my parent cook a lot and i know the procedures. good luck!

A typical price for good quality flash frozen jumbo shrimp (of at least 1 oz per shrimp) is about $1 per ounce. On sale, they are more like $0.50 to $0.60 per ounce. Therefore, 3 ounces of raw shrimp would be about $1.50 in $US for the lot which would be about 3 jumbo shrimp.

Brine shrimp refers to Artemia salina and about 10 other related species. They are rather small anostracans, reaching only 0.6 in (15 mm) in length. The color varies from almost hyaline and transparent to bright red. The male antenna is strongly modified, but is not sufficient to identify the species. Microcharacters are required for identification, as well as biochemical and molecular methods.
