Can a tracfone sim card be used in a unlocked phone?
Well, From what I am understanding the answer is no. Tracfone is weird, because the SIM card serves no purpose, but it's cell phones wont work without it. All information is stored in the phone. Also, Tracfone's SIM cards have GSM with a CDMA lock on it. Basically, It has to do with how signals are received from the cell phone towers. However, I am trying to do the same thing right now, and maybe get a good result. =/
From tekgek:
From my experience, yes, you can. Put the sim card in an unlocked phone, and it should work. I tried this with a nokia e51 and n81, and was able to send and receive calls. (Don't know about any of the other features). The only thing that you will lose is the ability to see how many units you have left. If that does not matter, then go ahead!
From Spyguy10709
You really cannot do this. tracfone locks your IMEI of your SIM card to the IMEI of your phone. Unless you work there, you can't get around this. Sorry!

Can sim cards be transferred to a non-iPhone from an iPhone?
The original 2G iphone was IMSI locked therefore you could only use one sim with the phone. Newer Iphones 3G and 3GS are usually just carrier locked so you can swap around SIMs including MVNO SIMs that operate thru the same provider. All Iphones from Belgium/Italy or New Zealand are completely unlocked. Some carriers will unlock your IMEI so that when you update the phone on ITunes the phone will be unlocked expect to incur a charge or to be out of contract to get this!
AnswerNo. A SIM activated in a non-iPhone will not work in an iPhone.
The iPhone must be used with the built-in SIM card that was activated in it initially (or the activated SIM from an identical model iPhone), although that SIM can be moved to another SIM-based phone if necessary.

Is it possible for two SIM cards to share the same telephone number?
Some companies do offer this service.
Answeryup, if u ask for a replacement card as well when u purchase AnswerNo, actually. Sim cards were created for SECURITY. Remember back when people were "cloning" (duplicating IMEI signatures to make calls on other peoples phones)? Can't do that now. If a replacement SIM is activated, the old sim is automatically DEactivated. No two cards can be simultaneously active with the same number.
Furthermore, once deactivated, it can't be re-activated. At least not without some inevitable device is created for "wiping" or "resetting" a SIM.
