Nystatin/triamcinolone is a steroid / antifungal combination. It would not be expected to have any beneficial effect on acne. If the pimple is with an area of fungal infection to be treated with the drug, it may be applied over the pimple without risk.

You should basically use products free from all dyes & all perfumes. (if soaking in the tub, use Robathol, sold over the internet, instead of bubble bath) For bathing, Basis Soap is excellent (sold at Wal-Mart & Walgreens) For lotion, Fragrance Free Curel is excellent (also Vanicream but it is only sold at Dermatologist's offices or over the internet) For laundering X-Tra Detergent, perfume free, dye free, is my only choice, it is very inexpensive & works great....you should also ALWAYS double rinse your clothes before drying & avoid fabric softeners (when traveling I always take along my own towels & wash cloths as the detergents hotels use contain bleach & they also use fabric softener, and all of my relatives & friends use fabric softeners, etc.) For clothing, wear as much 100% cotton as you can, avoid nylons, polyesters, rayons, & wool, this is even important for things like underwear, bras & socks! Try to wear as little make-up as possible, try fragrence free deoderant, go bare-foot as often as possible, wear a light powder to absorb moisture from sweaty areas. Hope that helps some? :)

I have cystic acne and use it during large flares. My outbreaks can be rather painful so I find it's initial "burn" to be rather soothing. It's also helped to keep lesions moist which promotes faster healing. Using too much can cause some irritation and it seems to work better if it's applied first thing in the morning and before bed on clean skin.

It could be a yeast type infection of the skin, caused by moisture. There are over the counter creams for that kind of rash. Try looking for creams that treat Jock itch.

Scabies is a skin infection cause by tiny parasidic mites. They live in the pores or hair folicles of your skin and cause a skin rash and intense itching. You can get scabies from skin to skin contact with someone who has them, from being outdoors, but mainly they occur in unsanitary living conditions. They can live in the blankets, bedding, and other fabric surfaces that have not been cleaned regularly. Scabies were a lot more common in the past before the invent of washing machines and when people had poor hygeine habits. They are fairly easy to cure on the skin--I believe calamine lotion kills them and I'm sure that OTC lice medication would also. But if you have a red, itchy skin rash it's best to see a physician to get a correct diagnosis because a fungal infection or allergic reaction can cause a similar looking rash. If you are diagnosed with scabies you need to treat all the surfaces you have come into contact with and alert the person you think you may have caught scabies from and those that have been close to you and in your house. Your doctor or an exterminator may be able to tell you the best way to treat your house.

Background she has extremely itchy ears it started about a year ago and at first I thought it was a food allergy so I switched her food to something she's had before many times then she started to get bumps around her mouth and started to loose hair around her mouth then her ears started to loose hair and in the ear cannel it looks like a lot of little itty bitty blister lookin bumps please help me I want to get her better ASAP

The acne bacterium which is known as Propionibacterium acnes lives on everyone's skin, usually causing no problems, but, in those prone to acne, the build up of oil creates an ideal environment in which these bacteria prefer to multiply. This then triggers inflammation and the formation of red or pus-filled spots

Acne can run in families, but this does not necessarily mean that if your parents had acne you will get it too.

I use this for spots but this might work for pimples as well...I put a tiny but of toothpaste on the spot/pimple and it dies down a bit. If you do it daily it should start to disappear. Hopefully that helped. :)

well it depends on the person. for me what seems to work is when i get aloe from the actual alovera plant and i cut the leef and i put the goop on my face... i leave it on for about 20 min and i do it everyday and the scars fade away!!!!!! it wont hurt to try!

Friction may cause irritation to the inner labia and an ingrowing hair may cause a pimple-like irritation to appear on the outer labia if you shave or wax your genitals. However, from my recollection, a "sore" could indicate the first stage of syphilis or it could be indicative of herpes, in a worst case scenario. If you are a sexually active individual, it is best to err on the side of caution and to submit to a medical examination to determine the EXACT cause of any genital irritation so that steps can be taken to treat (and isolate) any infection.
