Can you sprain your ankle when you are sleeping?
If you fell out of the bed in an awkward position or were sleep walking, yes, you could. The odds are very unlikely, however.
yes. you can most definitely sprain your ankle when you are sleeping. you can stretch in your sleep and stretch the ligaments to much. this however would not swell that much or even swell at all, but it will bruise and it will hurt very bad! i suggest staying off it for 3-4 weeks. if you have to go to work or to school instead of going to the ER and them telling you to just walk it off, or going to the doctors and them telling you the same thing, or having to wait a week for an appointment, just borrow some crutches from a friend or buy some at a drugstore. the same with a brace. get one that will keep your ankle in place while walking around and also when asleep. go to a local drugstore. some are great and at a low price. sprains also do not show up in x-rays, so the hospital and doctors appointments might just be a waist of your time as well as the doctor's time too, and also a missed day of work or school that could have been avoided. hope this helps.

Why do you occasionally keep falling asleep while driving?
The most common reason to fall asleep while driving is that you are sleep deprived or on medication which causes you to fall asleep. You should not drive if you fall asleep while doing so, as it is highly dangerous for you as well as other drivers. If you are receiving enough sleep and are not on any medication, you should discuss your problem with your doctor. You may have a very serious medical condition such as narcolepsy.
narcolepsy
Yes. I just now woke up from a dream where I smelled the imaginary copy machine burning. Then I looked and saw it was on fire, walked around with poor motor skills, got a fire extinguisher, and was fixing to use it, but woke up.
Then I thought I should check to see what the Internet says about smelling in your dreams. The answer here at Wiki.Answers was "No." It's obvious to me that is incorrect, as my confident first-hand experience tells me otherwise. So "Can" you smell in your sleep? Yes, assuming you have the same potential as me and assuming I am sharing a legitimate perception with you; both of which I find highly probable. "Will" you likely experience smelling in your sleep? Well that's up to you. It's probably not common.
The nature of dreams is not something trivial. Dreaming is intimately connected to the nature of consciousness and of experiencing life itself. So be careful in adopting the personal truths of others as your own when they tell you something is possible or not in your world of imagination.

Can you die from staying awake?
No it is physically impossible for the human body to function due to various amounts of deprevation of sleep. Also it is unhealthy and not ideal. It can cause damage to ur health and to your life. You can survive longer without food, rather than lack of sleep.
When a person has been deprived of REM sleep for long enough they will not cycle through sleep patterns as a well rested person would. These REM deprived patients will enter REM sleep much more rapidly and will spend more time in REM sleep over the course of the night as their body attempts to "catch up" for the lost REM. This expedited process of entering REM is called REM rebound.
Some causes of Hypersomnia are Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Sleeping sickness, trypanosmiasis, Glioblastoma multiforme, malnutrition/starvation, sleep apnea, schizophrenia, narcolepsy and sleep deprivation.
