Why do you occasionally keep falling asleep while driving?
The most common reason to fall asleep while driving is that you are sleep deprived or on medication which causes you to fall asleep. You should not drive if you fall asleep while doing so, as it is highly dangerous for you as well as other drivers. If you are receiving enough sleep and are not on any medication, you should discuss your problem with your doctor. You may have a very serious medical condition such as narcolepsy.
narcolepsy
Yes. I just now woke up from a dream where I smelled the imaginary copy machine burning. Then I looked and saw it was on fire, walked around with poor motor skills, got a fire extinguisher, and was fixing to use it, but woke up.
Then I thought I should check to see what the Internet says about smelling in your dreams. The answer here at Wiki.Answers was "No." It's obvious to me that is incorrect, as my confident first-hand experience tells me otherwise. So "Can" you smell in your sleep? Yes, assuming you have the same potential as me and assuming I am sharing a legitimate perception with you; both of which I find highly probable. "Will" you likely experience smelling in your sleep? Well that's up to you. It's probably not common.
The nature of dreams is not something trivial. Dreaming is intimately connected to the nature of consciousness and of experiencing life itself. So be careful in adopting the personal truths of others as your own when they tell you something is possible or not in your world of imagination.

Can you die from staying awake?
No it is physically impossible for the human body to function due to various amounts of deprevation of sleep. Also it is unhealthy and not ideal. It can cause damage to ur health and to your life. You can survive longer without food, rather than lack of sleep.
When a person has been deprived of REM sleep for long enough they will not cycle through sleep patterns as a well rested person would. These REM deprived patients will enter REM sleep much more rapidly and will spend more time in REM sleep over the course of the night as their body attempts to "catch up" for the lost REM. This expedited process of entering REM is called REM rebound.
Some causes of Hypersomnia are Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Sleeping sickness, trypanosmiasis, Glioblastoma multiforme, malnutrition/starvation, sleep apnea, schizophrenia, narcolepsy and sleep deprivation.
Why do you feel tired after sleeping for a long time?
The problem is that, when you sleep in excess of 9 hours or so, you wind up getting too much "light" sleep and not enough "deep" sleep. That's why you feel groggy after waking up.
Oversleeping can actually be harmful to you health. See the related link for a great article that goes into more detail.
Why is bed more comfortable earlier in the morning?
It's not! Example: If you normally get up at 9am and you get up one day at 6am. Your body is all relaxed and prepared for another three hours of sleep and stays relaxed. So it's not comforter it's just your body clock doing its job! :)
If properly maintained and treated, a cpap machine can last a long long time. Most insurance companies will cover a new cpap machine every 5 years. If your insurance covers it, you should get a new one then even if yours is still working, because the technology and features are constantly improving.
Why do I wake up freezing and unable to get warm?
The body's temperature LOWERS slightly during sleep. Actually, body temperature goes down at night generally speaking. The body is able to regulate body temperature between 96.8 and 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. (When temperature goes outside of these bounds, it is not because of healthy body functioning -- it means you are sick or have hypo- or hyperthermia from environmental conditions.)
To begin with, the suprachiasmatic nucleus in the brain is like the body's internal clock. The suprachiasmatic nucleus reacts to changes in light. So when it's nighttime, certain things happen in the body, including a lowering of body temperature. Apparently, body temperature reaches a low at around 5:00 a.m.
Also, there are other more obvious reasons that the body's temperature lowers during sleep. When we are sleeping, our metabolism slows down, and we burn less energy. Also, our heart rate and circulation slows. In general, many of the body's functions slow down; you don't need them as much during sleep as you do when awake. This contributes to a lowering of body temperature. Also, the body is basically still (not moving) during sleep. This also contributes (although only minimally) to a lowering of body temperature.
Some animals do this to the extreme and can go into a state of torpor in which their body temperature drops to phenomenally low levels. Their heart rates also drop to levels that would kill animals that didn't have the ability to go into torpor. Humans go into torpor during sleep but only very minimally -- nothing even close to some other animals.
