Social security and get the one time 250.00that was promise in 2010?
I think that is only for regular filers.
The SSA does not have a percentage amount that they will use to determine the amount. Do not let this discourage from earning as much as you want because of the earnings test amount because in future years your monthly benefits will be increased because of this pay back amount.
The below information is available by going to the SSA gov website SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS ONLINE and use the search box for earnings test amount
When you file you will calculate the correct amount of taxes that you actually owe.
If not enough was taken out, you will have to pay more.
If too much was taken out, you will get a refund. Yes the tax you had withheld is taxable...the entire amount you receive, whether you put it in a savings account at the bank, or one with the IRS is taxable. Tax due isn't deductible from taxable income...that would be circular.

Are Social Security benefits protected from garnishment in the State of Michigan?
Federal laws protect Social Security benefits in all 50 states, including Michigan. Only the Treasury Department may garnish your check, and only for limited reasons, such as:
Regular creditors may not garnish your Social Security benefits, but they have been known to freeze and levy recipients' bank accounts after the check has been deposited, or direct deposit made. If this happens, you will need to go to court to stop them.
One good way to protect your benefits is to open a bank account used solely for Social Security benefits, and use a separate account for any other forms of income you may have.
If anyone threatens to take your check, tell them such action would be a violation of Section 207 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 407).

What do you do with uncashed social security checks?
If they were yours you would cash them. It is assumed they are payable to a deceased person. They must be returned to the Social Security Administration. Keeping or cashing checks made out to another payee is a criminal offense.
Maybe. It is difficult without knowing the state of residency to give an opinion. Every state has Homestead and other exemptions that prevent property from being attached and sold by creditors. Many states have statutes that specifically protect property of senior citizens and/or disabled persons. Social Security is 100% exempt from attachment by creditors. Other income and property "protection" is covered (or not) by state laws. It would be a good idea for the person(s) involved to consult an attorney who is well versed in Elder Law. Usually you can obtain a consultation or advisory session free or at a nominal fee.
At what age will social security and medicare taxes not be withheld from income?
Death usually stops taxes pretty well. If you earn income (which includes receiving a pension), expect to pay taxes on it for as long as you are alive.
The above may be correct for income taxes, but NOT nessasarilarly for FICA/Medicare, which are actually considered insurance. Your age, and if your collecting any benefit already, and if you get an increased beenfit with additional earnings are all factors to answering this.
