Does Suboxone doctors test for Suboxone on the first visit?
A thorough screening will be performed on your initial visit because some drugs that stay in your system for extended periods of time will alter the affects of the suboxone treatment and may hamper you from getting treated until you are clean from all but opiates. But all doctors can be different. They are there to help you after all so try being as honest as you can without incriminating yourself and feel the doctor out. Most addiction treatment physicians aren't offering help because the are required to.
Is it only dangerous to take suboxone on top of opiate?
it can be ..but ive found it just gives you a massive headache and is completely unenjoyable
How long Suboxone withdrawl lasrs?
Some poeple will say that it takes 10 days but that's not true I got off of it in 3 days 3 full days and the fourth I felt great
Does suboxone help rid body of opiates?
Yes, it does not. Suboxone is a semisynthetic opioid analgesic and relieves the withdrawal symptoms of opiate addiction by binding to your opiate receptors and kicking the true opiotes off of these receptors. Due to the nature of the drug it does remove other opiates and puts them into your bloodstream to be detoxed by liver and kidneys. Suboxone is nothing like heroin or oxycontin-it does not get an addict high nor does it send you into withdrawal if you use an opiate while on it. you can only withdrawal if addicted. Suboxone has a stronger affinity for these receptors than does heroin/oxy and the drugs will give no europhic effect.
"And if you try to take any other opiates while suboxone is still in your system not only will you not feel it at all you will be sent in to severe withdrawal symptoms immediately and will become VERY sick (not true. You should wait at least 24 hours after your last opiate to take suboxone to avoid becoming sick. Unless you are taking methadone, and that case you should wait at least 48 hours." This would only be true with methadone. Never take suboxone and methadone together. It is absolutely horrifying-yes worse than heroin withdrawal. I am no newbie to this type of lifestyle-it took me decades but with suboxone and help from non-using friends I am okay today.
Also I personally know that you can take opiates when you still have suboxone in you. You actually get high because you're adding opiates to the opiods that are already there (just like if you drank a beer a little while after taking five shots you would get more drunk than if you had never taken the shots). Not true-Subs are antagonists-they block opiates-I learned early on about the deterrent affect of the drug. They add naltrexone to suboxone in the US-it completely blocks opiates from being effective.
Another reason why you may have thought this is because there is an opiate agonist in Suboxone, but I have read (I don't know enough about pharmacy to understand why this works, just that it does) that there is one part agonist to every three parts of opines, and for some reason this ratio causes injecting Suboxone to be uncomfortable. (only mental cases do this-like fools who crush and snort lortabs-real dope fiends!) I have been prescribed suboxone for 3 years-i was addicted to heroin and methadone for 15 years. Subutex is a different horse and not easily obtained in the US. Life is much easier without the daily runs and waste of thousands of dollars. The first year i used intermittently by cutting down my dosage for a few days-good heroin always worked but at the same time destroyed so many things in my life - especially to those that loved me it wasn't worth it. I actually despise reading about teenagers doing heroin. I am 52 and my life would have been a lot different if drugs in general hadn't been a priority with me. In short-suboxone does knock true opiates out of your system-I never got a feeling of being high on it-never detox from a high dose of methadone (done to me in the hospital) with it unless you want to truly visit hell.
Is it true suboxone is better taken sublinqually than oraly?
Yes. Much better, in fact. Buprenorphine has a much higher bioavailability sublingually than orally. You also have to consider the bioavailability of naloxone, which is almost nil sublingually. I don't know how much higher it is orally, but ideally, you want none of it.
How long after taking suboxone can you take a roxie?
Three days until its out of your system. I think it's got a half life so day one take 4mg. Day 2 u got 2mg left in system. Day 3 1mg and after that your pretty much clear. From my experience you'll still get high but not as high because the subx is binding to your receptors still. It depends on your tolerance and usage. I get withdrawals in 12 hours after taking opiates, my use is very high compared to others. If you wanna be smart and SAFE wait three days at least! I never used to and I cant prove it but I think it will raise your tolerance and do damages to your brain. Take it from me, I wish I never played that game. Take subx when you want to "QUIT" If you just don't have anything your better off trying to ween off of opiates. Like make 30 last 4 days just so u don't get sick.
Can you take xanax septra doxycycline and suboxone?
No you should not, I was abusing presription meds and more for about 8 years (up to 30 percs/day maybe more some days) I could not stop alone & found amazing suboxones & now have been clean 15 months (and no suboxones Do Not get u high if u are not abusing them & really taking them to live sober!) & with my addiction I would mix the xanax w/ percs to get a nod out high witch was my fav. But with my 1st suboxones Dr. he would also give me xanax even though you are Not supposed to, I O.D'd twice & almost died once when I was on suboxone and xanax because I took way to many extra zannies due to a traumatic family event and my heart stopped & only thanks to god the docs & my family that im still here. So my new suboxone doc weaned me off in 2 weeks and said how deathly fatal it is to mix suboxone & xanax and even with percocets witch we called our cocktail, mixing uppers or pain pills with downers, but No they DoNot get you high (seen someone said they do) if you take them how you arw supposed to and No you should not take xanax with suboxone unless under close dr supervision but most suboxone doctors will not prescribe them together & at suboxone.com it will say about how it can be fatal to take any benzodines with suboxone, So I would say No and I really hope you will read that and not take them together for the safety of your health and life even.

Why cant you get high off of xanax after taking suboxone?
Suboxone and Xanax are actually potentially dangerous together, since they can have a synergistic effect, meaning the effect of each dosage separate is less than the identical dosages taken together. Unless specifically notified by your physician, do not take these two medications together. If Suboxone appears to have a Xanax-blocking effect for you, it is likely the unique way your own body is processing the Xanax as well as your own perception.
How long does suboxone need to dissolve?
It depends on whether you are taking pills (which you do not swallow), or sublingual strips. It should take no longer than 5-10 minutes. Also remember not to swallow while the Suboxone is still under the tongue. Swallowing will lessen the effect, these drugs do not work nearly as well when ingested, they must be absorbed by the blood vessels of the tongue. Always keep the Suboxone under your tongue, do not simply hold it in your mouth.

Will methadone get rid of a headache if you are on suboxone?
it will make you violently ill. don't do it, you can't mix opiates and subs. if you are getting a weird headache that seems to be right in the middle of your forehead, you have what my boyfriend and i call the suboxone headache. the only thing that will get rid of it is more suboxone. doesn't have to be a lot. you can break one in half and then in half again. sometimes i even break the quarters in half again. but trust me, its the only thing that works.
a pharmacist really shouldn't give out unsolicited advice, and if he was trying to discourage the charity from helping you fill it, then it very well could be a violation. talk to your state board of pharmacy, they will be able to help you and if you want to report him, that's who you need to talk to. if the charity didn't even know what the prescription was for and the pharmacist told them, i'm pretty sure thats a hippa (or hipaa, whichever lol) violation which is a very big deal. health care professionals are not allowed to discuss your health information with anyone without your consent. but i'm not 100% sure if this was a violation since the charity was helping you fill your prescription. if this is really bothering you then definitely call your state board of pharmacy.
How long should you wait to take suboxone after taking morphine?
That actually depends on the individuals system, and whether or not that person has a morphine addiction or not?
Suboxone subligual tablets have a blocker for narcotics in them. If you have take suboxone on top of morphine I have seen many people have no reaction at all!
On the other hand, if you take suboxone before taking morphine it will in fact block the morphine's effectiveness.
Suboxone goes to the opiate receptors in the brain, and fills them. Therefore when the morphine goes to the head there are no receptors for the narcotic to plug into.
Suboxone was researched at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore as well as at John Hopkins Bayview Hospital previously called Francis Scott Key Hospital and previous to that it was City Hospital.
This is a question I know the answer to without a doubt.
Suboxone works as a narcotic antagonist and for a person on methadone, suboxone will actually sap the body of the methadone and send the person into withdrawel from their methadone habit rather quickly!
Suboxone is also effective in blocking heroin which is also a by product of morphine.
amendment: Suboxone can also send some addicts into withdrawel if taken after their daily dosing of morphine or any other opiate that I am privvy to, with the possible exceptions being synthetic or man made narcotics (which are not true opiates), as opposed to opiates which are made from the processing of the poppy plant grown in Afganistan
and Pakistan in an area called the (Golden Crescent), as well as in,Viet Nam, Burma, Laos and Thailand known as (The Golden Triangle)whch is one of Southeast Asia's biggest opium producing areas. by the way, i got my degree at 5th street brewery and crack alley in new jersey!
Are suboxone strips stronger than the pills?
some people think they are, some people think they aren't. personally i prefer the pills. the strips don't last nearly as long.
