What does an infection from a tampon feel like?
A vaginal infection as a result of tampon use is no different from any other vaginal infection, most commonly tampons cause bacterial vaginosis which symptoms include a fishy odour and excessive watery discharge.
Should tampons be uncomfortable?
No, not if you've put it in right. Angle it towards the bottom of your back. If you are using one tampon and then using another tampon right after, your vagina can be too dry to slide it in easily, so try using a pad for a few hours in between. If it hurts coming out, then you haven't left it in for the full time (six hours, but don't go over six.) or you are using a tampon which is too strong.
Can you pee with a tampon in or do you have to take it out to pee?
.the tampon fits into the vagina, and the urine comes out of the bladder into the urinary tract, so do not worry, you can urinate without having to remove the tampon.
Im bleeding so much im going through a tampon in less then an hour please help?
If you're going through a super or ultra absorbency tampon within an hour then you need to see your doctor, possibly go to an emergency room if the bleeding is heavy enough to suggest hemorrhaging or if you start to feel ill. If you're leaking through a lighter absorbency tampon then it may simply be that you need a higher absorbency tampon for your flow. Heavy flow itself is not a problem, if you're in your teens your flow may tend to be heavier, if your heavy flow continues it's best to talk to your doctor about lightening it with tranexamic acid and looking into why it's heavy.
When you put a thong on does it hurt?

What is the purpose of a jock strap?
Well, jocks wear them. (athletes) The correct term is athletic supporter. They have an elastic sack with elastic straps to hold them in place. They support a man's testicles - it can be painful if testicles go banging around during strenuous athletics and sports.
This question has several parts to it based on several things.
1) How old is he?
2) Whose tampons did he use?
3) Are there other things he relates to this or is it only sexually motivated?
4) How does the parent feel about this?
5) How did the parent catch him? (meaning was it the parent's business to know this - does the parent ask him about masturbation? About elimination?)
Age relates to perception. If a child of 2 - ~10 tries to use them, most likely it is experimentation (like finding that you can feel good by rubbing your privates.) Or "trying to be like mom." You certainly may want to talk to him about this and be sure he understands what they are intended for, i.e. if he's 2 to 6 keep it simple: "These are meant for girls for keeping themselves clean, boys don't need them." If he's old enough to know about girls having a vagina and a period, explain it to him as "these are used by girls when they have their period, to stay clean" or some variant.
If he's old enough to understand the difference in physical sexes (not just "boys and girls are different") then the discussion should relate to the later points. If he's using his mother or sister's tampons and the problem is them running out, a discussion of personal property and respect for other people's things is in order then further discussion. If he has his own, then then next stage deals with parent's and masturbation. Many straight men enjoy the stimulation of the prostate and anal-play both with or without a partner, so here comes personal feeling time. Some people believe anything besides "missionary" sex within the bonds of marriage is wrong, others believe masturbation (in it's many forms) is ok as long as it is within certain limits, others believe anything that doesn't hurt another person is ok.
Here the people who believe masturbation is bad have a chance to discuss with the child and explain how they think this is wrong and NOT scream and yell at the child but to explain that they expect such behaviors to not occur while the child is living in their home; anyone else can discuss that they want the child to be careful and keep masturbatory behaviors behind closed doors.
Here also is where the question of how the parent "caught" the child. Did the parent walk in on the child by accident? Did they figure it by the fact of the number of missing tampons? Were they digging in the boy's room and found the box? Were they found in the trash? Was it actually wrong of the parent to find this? The parent may find they have violated a trust that the child had and have a worse problem than just the cost of tampons. Treat the subject lightly and gently, sex is such a touchy subject, treading lightly will help the parent-child relationship.
Is it possible to never use a tampon in your life?
Of course it's possible to go your whole life without ever using a tampon.
Tampons are not a necessity at all - women can use pads or cups, some women choose to use nothing at all so will opt for free-flow or menstrual release. There is nothing to say that anyone has to use tampons if they don't want to, in some cultures women are actively discouraged from tampon use.
Why would a tampon feel uncomfortable after you unspread your legs?
If you can feel the tampon of feel uncomfortable once you have closed your legs then the likelihood is that the tampon isn't inserted high enough.
The first few inches of your vaginal canal are narrower than further-up in the vagina, if not inserted far enough the tampon will sit in this area and as the vaginal muscles push together they would push against the tampon. This area also has more nerve endings so even if there is no discomfort you are still more likely to feel the tampon if it's here.
I'm terrified to put a tampon in so I need help?
It's not that terrible. Trust me.
Can someone reuse their sister's bloody tampon to save money?
No, you can't reuse someone elses tampons.
You can however use reusable menstrual products:
Reusable menstrual products are more hygienic as well as healthier so less risk of bad odour, irritation, discomfort, allergic reaction, vaginal infections, toxic shock syndrome, also you can see both reduced flow and reduced cramps with reusable options too.
Reusable menstrual products obviously safe money, menstrual cups being the cheapest menstrual product on the market - menstrual cups on average cost around $35 (although shopping around you can find much cheaper brands and deals) and will last for up to 10 years.
they are both fine its what makes u more comfortable with i prefer tampons cause wen i wear pads it feels like im wearin a diaper.

How do you prevent leaks in school without using tampons?
Why does putting in a tampon hurt at first?
Because your body isn't used to them, and you are probably really tight so i recommend either using smaller tampons, or just wait it out a bit and after a while, you will get used to them and your vagina will stretch out to fit the tampon.
That's jus' nasty. Try looking on WikiVagina. <-That's what the person before me said...
What I say: I'm not sure exactly what it means, I'm not an expert in that area...You might want to see a doctor or specifically a gynecologist docter...In my opinion...Good luck and feel better!
See a doctor!

Lost a tampon which now out but think may have an infection?
Go see a doctor! SOONEST! Tampons in too long can cause TSS, which can be VERY BAD.
Why are moms worried about their daughters wairing tampons?
Firstly take the tampon out of the packet and take the plastic off. Then untie the string and get in a comfortable position. Most women like to lie down, stand up with their legs apart or put one foot on the sink or bath. Then take a few deep breaths and when you are ready, with one hand using your fingers spread apart the vagina skin and find the vagina opening. Slowly and gently insert the tampon in arching it towards your upper back. Once it is on all the way See if it feels comfortable or not. If it doesn't you may want to adjust it a bit or take it out and try a new one. If it hurts no matter how you put it in there is nothing wrong with a pad and unless you're swimming you don't need a tampon.
The fear of tampons is called: Vagidentophobia
i personally used to have a fear of them, until i used it for the first time, but now im okay with them.
hope this helped! =]
Is pads or tampons better for teenagers?
Tampons aren't recommended to teens as younger women are less likely to have TSST-1 antibodies and have more delicate vaginal tissues, thus are at higher risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. However if you want to use tampons and understand the risks enough to follow precautions to reduce risks it's okay to use tampons. Pads remain the best option of the two as pads as safer and more hygienic.
There are more options than just tampons or pads, if a teen wants to use internal options it's best to consider menstrual cups or softcups which pose no health risks at all, this also makes cups more convenient as they can be worn at any time and for up to 12 hours.
Is it bad to wear a tampon is your period is irregular?
