Does tea make good compost?

Yes, used tea leaves makes outstanding compost. Finely broken tea can be mixed in directly to soil, and coarser, large tea leaves can either be used as a coarse leaf mulch, or added to a compost pile or heap where they will quickly break down into nutrient-rich soil.

Be cautious, however, when using tea bags. Many tea bags are not biodegradable. Some are made of nylon, and others may be made of paper but have plastic sealant used to seal the bags, and may not break down completely. It is safest to either use loose-leaf tea (the more sustainable option), or to break open the tea bags before composting the contents of them.

Is it possible to reduce the caffeine content in black tea?

In the competition between green tea and black tea is difficult to declare a winner.

This is because both teas offer great health benefits, many varieties, and many years of enjoyment. But which tea is better and healthier?

Studies show that green tea had more than natural antioxidants present in black tea. This is simply because green tea is less processed than black.

Now this does not mean that black tea is inferior to green tea. Black tea has its share of anti-oxidants, and to be quite honest, the number difference is not night and day. Drinking a cup of black tea is just as good, health wise, because drinking a cup of green. Also remember that more studies are done on green tea than black, so it is natural to think that green is a better cup.

When comparing green tea black tea on caffeine, green tea has less vs. A cup of green, less than half the caffeine compared to a cup of black ... So green tea wins. Unless you have a shock!

Taste differences.

Green tea flavor for some people is a grass and off, while black tea is sweeter, more generally accepted, at least in Western culture. Black tea is the most consumed type of tea in the world, so when it comes to a contest of consumption, black tea wins hands down.
