How does Tennessee rank in education?
There might be some truth to the answer below. Tennessee ranks consistently in the bottom 10 states academically. But it is possible to get a good education for your children here. One simply has to be more involved than the average parent takes time to be.
I was educated entirely in Tennessee and I know, at least, unlike the northerner complaining here about our school system, how to spell "libraries." And the ones in my town are usually well patronized. We can boast Vanderbilt, UT and the city of Oak Ridge, which is full of scientists with an unusually high number of doctorates for a town its size. It's not necessary to go the full homeschooling route, but if you leave your children's education entirely up to the school system in any state you are doing them a grave disservice.

I moved to Tn from the northeast and have been appalled at their education system. according to the news I've seen it ranks 42nd in Education which is up from when we moved here 3 years ago when the polls said it was 46th. very few people visit library's here. and there is still corporal punishment in the school system so if you don't want your child beaten with a paddle make sure to ask for and sign a statement saying you do not want them to be hit. we have also had various problems with the promotion of religion in the schools system like children singing hymns in kindergarden and being taught and made to say a christian form of grace in head state. personally I wouldn't send your children to public school in this state unless you are unable to homeschool and you are a mainline christian. I have many fundamentalist chrsitian friends who won't send their kids to school b/c of mainline evolution, science and history being taught.
sincerely,
TJ Jones

Where can a 14-year-old get a job in Lebanon Tennessee?
I believe that it would be next to impossible to get a job at 14. I can't remember the laws but even if it is legal, there are so many restrictions placed on young workers (can only work 3 hours a day, can't work past 9pm...) that no places would want to hire. Your best bet would be to do odd jobs for neighbors or people you know. If you have a particular skill (babysitting, mowing) make up a flier and post it around area businesses. Otherwise you will probably not be able to get a regular job until you are 16, maybe 15 if you are lucky.
In Tennessee can you move out when you're 18 but haven't graduated high school yet?
Actually, yes. You may think that isn't fair but in certain situations it definitely is. It is because they are 18 and that makes them legally an adult whether they don't feel like it or do. This means that you might have to start paying keep in your own home.
well it just depends on how you think of "high paying". If you're talking money wise, it would be a RN but if you're talking about high paying in love and having lots of people that care about you then there isn't a most high paying job
