Display Cases don't work automatically like Weapon Mounts. You have to drop the item on the floor, then press and hold E so your character 'holds' it, then use the mouse to physically position the item into the open display case.

You must still have a standard definition TV, and not an HDTV. The compass, menus, and received rewards will not show up or will be cut off on a standard definition TV because Skyrim was formatted for an HDTV. Do what I did, and get an HD!

Exit Balmora through the south entrance. Turn east, and walk across two stone bridges. Continue East until you see a fork in the road, you want to take the one that's on your right. Follow this path, and you'll see the Fort.

Go to the stables right outside bravil. Head up the road (North) until you reach the 'inn of ill omen'. When at the inn face the front of the inn so you can see the door and stuff. Then head north for a while until you reach a grotto. Kill the minotaurs guarding the unicorn first as the unicorn will attack you otherwise. If the unicorn sees you then let it chase you back to the inn of ill omen. Go inside then back outside and get on the unicorn, If the unicorn doesn't see you while fighting the minotaurs then just ride it. Then it is yours and will follow you when you fast travel to stables, towns etc. :)
