What are the reasons for killing Hector in the book of Iliad?

In a nutshell, Achilles (or Achilleus) kills Hector because Hector kills Petroklos, Achilles' friend. As a result of Agamemnon dishonouring Achilles by expropriating his slave girl, Briseis, Achills laments to his mother, the nymph Thetis, of the indignity he had suffered at Agamemnon's hands. Thetis instructs her son to withdraw his aid from the Achaean forces, while she endeavours to call upon Zeus, who promises her a means by which Achilles' honour can be restored. Zeus choreographs the following days of the Trojan war to allow the Trojans to come to the brink of destroying the Achaean army, thus emphasizing their need of Achilles and his armies to succeed in the war. Agamemnon relents and sends envoys to plead with Achilles to return, but Achilles is adamant and continues to withhold his assistance. At the most dire moment, Patroclos, Achilles' dearest friend, assumes Achilles' armour and leads his armies into battle, momentarily driving off the Trojans, but ultimately leading to Patroclos' death by the great Trojan prince Hector's sword. Achilles returns to battle to avenge Patroclos' death. To allow Achilles to regain the honour he had lost at the beginning of the epic, Zeus allows Hector to be killed by Achilles, thus satisfying the promise Zeus had made to Thetis.

(Note that all the brothers of Priam were killed by Heracles becasue Laomedon planned on sacrificing his daughter Hesione to Poseidon in the hope of appeasing him. Poseidon and Apollo had built the walls of Troy for wages and not been paid them; Apollo sent sickness and Poseidon a sea monster.

Heracles (along with Oicles and Telamon) rescued her at the last minute and killed the monster. Laomedon had promised them the magic horses as a reward for their deeds, but when he broke his word, Heracles and his allies took vengeance by putting Troy to siege, killing Laomedon and all his sons save Podarces, who saved his own life by giving Heracles a golden veil Hesione had made (and therefore was afterwards called Priam, from priamai 'to buy'). Telamon took Hesione as a war prize and married her; they had a son called Teucer.)

Why is the Trojan War called the Trojan War?

Its proper name is the Iliad. In Classical Attic; sometimes it is referred to as the Song of Ilion or Song of Ilium (Ilium and Troas was the archaic and Classical period Greek names that Troy was known by).

The name of the poem, meaning 'of Ilion', is an ellipsis for 'a book on Ilion'. So no one named the poem this way, that was just how the Greeks referred to it (because of its immense popularity, everybody knew which book on Ilion you were talking about). In present form, the name was probably first employed in an extant written text by Herodotus (II, 116 sq.).

The war was sparked by the theft of Helen the wife of Menelaus of Sparta. The main objective contrary to some flawed and biased opinions was to take back Helen and punish the Trojans for their insolence after initial requests for Helen to be returned had been declined.

Sacking cities during the Homeric bronze age archaic time was a method of waging war. It was how they fed their troops and kept up supplies and how the military was 'paid' for their service. 3,000 years ago it was the way things were. These were ancient warrior cultures and can't be judged by modern standards to fit a modern narrative.
