George Gein, father of Ed Gein, died of natural causes on April 1, 1940. Henry Gein, brother to Ed, died in a brush fire on the Gein's isolated farm on May 16, 1944 and Gein's mother Augusta died on December 29, 1945, also of natural causes. As far as anyone can tell, Gein did not commit his first murder until November 16, 1957. Bernice Worden, aged 58 and a widow, disappeared from her hardware store. Prior to her disappearance, Gein had been asking about her which of course caused suspicions in local law enforcement. Although Gein was found gulity of first degree murder he spent the rest of his life in a hospital for the mentally ill.

Both of the defendent's parents joined to hire Clarence Darrow for $100,000. Darrow didn't keep them out of prison but he did save their lives. If not for Darrow they most certainly would have been put to death.

JonBenet Ramsey was a young child and could have done nothing to give herself a bad reputation. At the time of her murder, the public was saturated with this innocent child parading around wearing heavy makeup in beauty pagents. Many people had no idea that such events even existed, leaving people with the idea that she was being exploited.

In all fairness, the Ramsey's were from the south. Activities such as beauty pagents are very popular there. Patsy Ramsey and I believe her sister also, were beauty contestants. And JonBenet competing in beauty contests had nothing to do with her death. Often, a victim is portrayed as being, in some way, responsible in their victimization. Nothing could be farther from the truth in the Ramsey case. This little girl was blameless in this horrible scenario.

In 1981, Elizabeth Kendall published a book by the title of 'The Phantom Prince: My Life With Ted Bundy'.

There were three killers that used Craigslist to connect with their victims. Michael John Anderson was convicted in 2009 for the death of Katherine Ann Olson. The second killer was Philip Markoff (1986-2010). He was charged for the death of Julissa Brisman and two counts of armed robbery. Markoff comitted suicide before trial. Just this year 31 year old Brady Oestrike strangled to death 19 year old and eight months pregnant Brooke Slocum and bludgeoned and decapitated her 25 year old boyfriend Charlie Oppenneer after the couple sought Oestrike out on line for sex. Oestrike committed suicide after crashing his car while running from police. That brings the count to five between three killers.

According to Ridgeway himself in his 2003 confession after his arrest, Patricia Yellowrobe, who disappeared in 1998, was his last victim. This may or may not be the truth. Actually, Ridgeway had killed so many women over such a long period of time (2 decades) that even he could not recall all of them.

Anitra Mulwee went missing December 31, 2000, and was later found in the Green River. It is possible she could have been a victim but there is no way to tell. Likewise with 49 year old Sharon Engelhart, who disappeared in February 2001, and she too, was found later in the Green River.

Another possiblity is that there was a later, second killer that dumped the bodies in the Green River to lay blame on the Green River killer. Unless Ridgeway says for sure one way or another, the truth may be lost to history.

According to the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit (BSU) a pseudovictim is someone that claims to be a victim, usually of rape/assault. These pseudovictims make up about 4-7% of total rape and or assault reports. It doesn't sound like a large percentage but the manpower and money wasted could be better spent helping real victims of rape/assault.

Yes he is. Scott, a six footer, planned how he would kill a five foot 8 month pregnant young lady when she was asleep. He thought it out and bought fishing gear and fishing license 4 days earlier and had bought a boat about 10 before the murder. He thought he would kill her quickly, baby and all and bind them both with tarp and tape and dumped them in the ocean. He thought that stupid people would believe that if the bodies came up from the bottom of the ocean, they would suspect that some one other than he killed the poor girl and not him. He believed that these stupid people would think that some one wanted to frame him and would dump the bodies there a few months later in order to settle some score with him. He thinks that these stupid people would believe that it was mere chance that he went fishing right about the spot the bodies floated up and that the real killers would stage the bodies to wash up with dissolving tape so they would float just at the right time. Scott also believes that these same stupid people would believe that he was going to a halloween party in mexico with dyed hair and survival equipment in case his car failed him in Mexico.

This socialpath does have it right when he believes there are a lot of stupid people that would never suspect that he would kill his own unborn child and trusting wife right at the most sacred holiday of our civilization. Only a most perverted animal who lacks a soul could do a thing like this. Scott believes that stupid people out there will side by him because they can't see the evidence uncovered in this case.

Scott is right, these stupid people include his mother and father who can't accept that their son is this scum and by supporting him they can face the world because otherwise, they would have to accept that they created this soulless monster. They therefore must find all the stupid people they can to have a following -

This guy was a piece of work. He would be just a regular peeping tom, looking in women's windows. He wouldn't turn shooter unless he was observed. Once a woman caught sight of him he would shoot her. The Peeper's real name was Rickey Brogsdale, his weapon of choice, a 22 c. rifle.

Ted Bundy confessed to 30 murders but he did not back up his confection by leading the authorities to the locations of the corpses and he did not pinpoint the locations in Utah, Colorado and Washington where some corpses were found. There were only 5 kills and a kidnap proven to be his. The problem adding a number of deaths to a serial killer who did not back up his confession could mean another killer has to be apprehended. Why did Bundy could not tell were his other victims were disposed of or the place where authorities found some corpses even if that would add time for his life? He could not because he did not know the information.

On the other hand, we have Henry Lee Lucas. By the time he was apprehended, it took 2 years and a half to finish his confection and 5 more years to lead the authorities to the grave sites of over the United states. When the 175Th corpse found unearthed, the authorities were sure they have an experience killer and it took another 8 years to place the found corpses found which matched those he claimed.

That is a confession properly backed up and a single person could prove it was a dubious confection. So now you a have a well experienced killer and not a novice one.

It was. The victim, Roseanne Quinn, a New York City teacher of deaf children, was found murdered on New Year's Day 1973. The killer was a handsome drifter named John Wayne Wilson, a married man that lived a strange life.

The Tonika Jenkins case was covered on the TruTV series, Murder by the Book with mystery writer Faye Kellerman. To date however, I have not found that a book has been written about the strange Ms. Jenkins.

Gary Ridgway, known as the Green River Killer, committed homicide in the State of Washington.

I don't think so. Fieger was the attorney for Dr. Kevorkian the suicide-assist doctor when he faced charges of murder for assisting with the suicide of one of his patients.

No. Unless somebody confesses or writes a 'tell-all' book the case will remain open. Almost two years after the crime a grand jury heard the evidence and felt there was not enough evidence for a successful prosecution against John or Patsy Ramsey. The parents were the only viable suspects once all the evidence was compiled and studied.

Dunblane school massacre happened on 1996-03-13.

The killer was Richard Speck! He is 49 years old.

The morning of July 14, 1966, 8 student nurses were found murdered in a residence on Chicago's south side. There was only one survivor, 23 year old Corazon Amurao, from the Philipines. The suspect was Richard F. Speck, an unemployed seaman. He was brought to trial in April 1967 and found guilty. He was sentenced to death but the sentence was reduced to 400 years in prison.

Although there are exceptions to every rule, it is generally believed that environment and genetics play a role in the making of a serial killer.

Elizabeth Smart, the Utah teen that was abducted from her home and later found and returned to her family is 5' 6" tall. She is now in her early 20s and is active as a victims advocate.

There have been several. Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger and Al Capone, were all on the FBI most wanted list.

I found a couple. Steven Morin (B 2-19-51 D 3-13-85) was executed by lethal injection for killing at least three women, on in Corpus Christi. Morin, a long-time IV drug user, had almost no viable veins and it took 45 minutes to start his IV line.

Esteban Ruiz of Corpus Christi was serving a 40 year sentence when he was indicted for another murder and suspected of still another in the Corpus Christi area.

I believe it is safe to say that Bentley's case would have had a different outcome had he been tried in the 21st century. Britian no longer executes their criminals and most certainly Bentley's circumstances would have weighted heavily in his favor. His borderline low IQ in itself would have spared him his eventual fate. The fact that he was not the actual killer but an accomplice would also be considered. So, l guess the answer is 'yes' to a certain degree, he was a victim of the justice system he faced.
