Can I collect unemployment if I leave my job of 7 years working for New York State to go back to college to get my masters in another state I have a family a 3 year old and a wife?

I am not an expert in unemployment but I do believe if you quit from a job you give up the right to unemployment however different states probably have different regulations. I would probably suggest looking for a school near your location and see if there are any classes that you could transfer to the school that you are looking at graduating from. Then look for any ways to transfer from the current state to the one that you are looking at going to school, you never know really unless you look into it. You may not have to leave seven years behind. Given the circumstances on your family side I would really put forth your best effort to keep everything at home going as smoothly as possible.

You are reaching the end of your unemployment compensation extension 1 here in Florida can you get a second extension if so for how much and how long?

where is my questions answer You have to physically fill out the application for the second extension. It can be found on the website, where it says application. They you have to mail it in. I know, what a pain, but it is the only way. I did so and have received 7 weeks of the second extension. Now my benefit amount shows zero, but I believe eventually there will be another 13 weeks. It is impossible to get answers from the 800 numbers. You cannot get through. I have also written to my congressmen, and two of them actually answered, and I got a letter from Mel Martinez with a form to fill out and fill in. You have to find phone numbers of people to call, email addresses, be the squeaky wheel to get answers.

Is collecting unemployment while working a felony?

Yes, if you do not report all your income while receiving benefits, because you can still work and make money. Unemployment is for those who are not able to work nor find a job. It's like emergency money when you don't work but you can collect both of them if the earnings fall under the state's allowance.

Can you call to file an unemployment extension in Connecticut?

If you have already run out of your regular benefits then you should receive a letter from the state letting you know when to apply for the extension. The state of CT has been taking its time to get their "computer systems" updated to handle the extension, so the originally said you would be able to file in the beginning of August, it has now been pused to the "middle" of August. Even though the extension was signed into law back in June.

Has President Obama extended unemployment benefits?

As of September 29, 2009, the House has passed a bill providing 13 additional weeks for those already receiving unemployment benefits. The Senate is considering a similar bill. If the Senate version passes, the two will go to conference. If the conference comes up with a bill that will pass both the House and Senate, it will go to the President for his signature or veto.

Describe sustainable development strategies to manage forests as a renewable resource?

Sustainable development strategies for managing forests include the maintenance of forests by harvesting trees in a way that promotes regeneration and getting the most out of the resources collected. strategies include protecting old growth forests and planting fast growing trees that are not dependent on large quantities of nutrients to survive. The protection of green belts for wildlife also prevent erosion. The widening of fire trails and regular burn offs also promote and protect the growth of the forests. Its about getting a happy medium between the harvesting for profit and ensuring sustainability.

Will you get the second unemployment extension?

Yes, if you and the state qualify. This answer sucks!!!!

Response:If the state qualifies (by having an unemployment rate greater than the national average, or as the federal requirements dictate), then unemployment compensation would normally extend because of extended hardships. If the state did not qualify (i.e. by having a low unemployment rate and therefore not needing an extension), then if you had exhausted your own extension rights, you would not get an extension. Each state has its own laws and criteria for one's extension, so a definitive answer to the question is not possible as the question is vague as to the circumstances.

After 26 weeks of unemployment benefits expires do you have to file to get an extension?

In some states, the extension is automatic and in others you have to apply. For safety, check with your own state's unemployment office.
