it's not so much what you can offer them but what they can offer you. once you sign up, you loose the freedom to do many things because you have to be what they need. to compensate you, they offer a stable career for the duration of your enlistment, free health care, G.I.Bill for education after separation from the service, and resources for dependents (if you have any). While talking to a recruiter could help, talk to people who are in the service and find out how they feel about it.

A veterinarian needs all the math, reading, and science he or she can get! You're going to be dealing with measuring out medicine, even x-rays. How are you going to be able to do any of that if you don't understand math and science? There is more to being a vet then just helping sick animals. You have to know how to do it right.

With one or two years of JROTC, you can go in as a Private-2 (PV2/E2). With three or more years of JROTC, or if you were an Eagle Scout, you can go in as a Private First Class (PFC/E3).

This does not mean that you'll be promoted to the next pay grade faster than your peers, however, and you're most likely to see that, if you went in as a Private First Class, for example, the people who went in as basic Private (E1) will be promoted to Specialist just as quickly as you are.

Incidences of ADD are fairly common in the population. So, I think chances are more likely that you will be given limitations in your positions and duties due to ADD. However, it would not exempt you completely from serving in the Air Force.
