Is 28 too old to join the marines?

Yep, too Old. You can get in if your fit enough. But if you have a Wife and Kid. Forget about it. Too demanding on the soul no matter how fit you may be. Unless of course your a swinger and don't mind her sleeping around on you. But then again surprise surprise, hotties in other country's

Also, you'll be taking orders from Grunts Much younger then you are, while you feel you can take them out, they deserved their ranks. Your an old piece of meat to them when it comes to basics. It may be rewarding to you, But you'll also be breaking the hearts of your loved ones.

if your 38 and Single, by all means go for it. You've got nothing else going for you anyway.

THE UNJADED Truth.

Can a green card holder serving as US Navy Hospital Corpsman become a battlefield corpsman to assist the marines?

Yes and no - while a Navy Corpsman is a Corpsman regardless of status, the problem you'd face is with any Security Clearance. FMF and Force Recon members typically hold Secret or Top Secret clearances, and they don't typically authorize those for foreign nationals, only U.S. citizens.

America has a more diverse geographical standing as Canada may have most of the types of land but not as many. We have deserts and wetlands, mountains and canyons, Plautus and plains, oceanic and tropical along with hot or cold climates and many more disasters.

What is the best way to pass a Marine Corps Physical Fitness test?

Honestly, I dont think there is a way. Basically just do long distance running (2 to 3miles) everyday, or whenever you get the chance. Doing as many sit ups, push ups, & pull ups as possible. Eat healthy, limit your amount of food, and try not to eat take out. Hope this helps!

What is harder navy seals or marines recon?

Both jobs are extremely demanding. One person who qualifies as a SEAL might consider a Marine recon unit to be tougher, yet would always consider themselves the best. The Marine recon team would also feel the same way. Such pride is expected in their teams and expected. As to fact, it depends on the situation, as their training is different (with overlaps of course).

Do people die of boot camp?

It has happened before, but it's really an uncommon thing to happen. For example, a soldier from Alaska gets to a BCT post in the South, and ends up drinking so much water that they flush the electrolytes completely out of their body. Stuff like that.

Women are valued as snipers in many of the worlds military groups (Russia, Israel and others). The US military does not. The reasons for this failure to permit them to serve in tasks they can do is based on male chauvinism and sexual discrimination.

Which is more accurate 9MM or 40Cal?

No such thing as a 22mm pistol - anything 20mm and above is considered a cannon, anyhow.

You're probably thinking of a .22 pistol, which is .22 inches (although the diameter of the projectile is actually .223 inches).

As for which is better, what are your needs? If you just want something to plink with, I'd recommend the .22. If you want something for self defence, then definitely the 9mm.

Can enlisted military members marry officers?

Only at the cost of their careers - any relationship of a personal nature is against regulations (related examples in regulations are dating, shared living accommodations, sexual relations, commercial solicitations, private business partnerships, gambling and borrowing money). The regulations are covered in both the Uniform Code of Military Justice (Article 134), Navy Regulations, and OPNAV Instructions (CNO Policy), which is the preferred guideline. It should be noted that it makes no difference if the members are from separate services.

Aside from long-standing tradition, it has always been found to be prejudicial to the rule of maintaining order and discipline, as it underrmines the military rank and authority structure. Having said that, the practice does occur in secret, and quite often couples will wait until one or the other has separated from the service to get married, at which point there's not much the military can do, unless it can (and wants to) prove that those involved were involved during their time in service together. The problem is that it's virtually impossible to keep such a secret while in the military, and the military does not look favorably on such relationships.

Marriage between 2 enlisted members or 2 officers is quite common, even between those of different services. My own wife and I were both sailors when we were married almost 33 years ago. There were few regulations concerning in-service married couples then, other than there were no guarantees about being stationed together. We were lucky; we only had to deal with 6 months being stationed apart before my wife was able to transfer to my homeport.

What happens if you are kicked out the US Marines?

You get discharged from the military and you go home, that is unless the reason for your discharge is related to criminal activity. In the event it is, first you go to the stockade/brig, then perhaps to Leavenworth, then perhaps home.

How did the usmc become a branch of the navy?

The Marines came under the Department of the Navy in 1834. However, they have always been associated with them prior to that time. Though the Marines fall under the Department of the Navy, they are considered a separate service branch and independent fighting force. The Navy and Marine Corps operate as separate branches under the Department of the Navy, each having their own Commanding Officers who in turn report directly to the Secretary of the Navy.
