Although it is not limited to this software, here's what you can use: Editing software such as Adobe Premiere, NewTek SpeedEdit, or Final Cut Pro, and compositing programs such as Adobe After Effects, Fusion, Nuke, and Combustion (although video editing programs are generally easier and more suited for cutting clips). Most free video editing programs should also allow cutting or trimming of clips' In and Out points.

To crop a clip in iMovie you need to click on the Crop button (usually the second button from the right between the i and microphone buttons), adjust the cropping lines in the viewer until you have the desired crop and then click on the Done button in the top right corner.

For the highest resolution videos (1080p/720p) or 'Blu-ray', MPEG-2 and H.264 are the best codecs.

MPEG-2 will usually have the file extension .m2v, and H.264 will usually have .m4v

In the bar on the left hand side of the screen, choose the thing that looks like a square with a cross through it. [near the top]

Once you have chosen that, drag the mouse over the area you want cropped.

The part that will be cut off should appear in gray.

Right click and choose "Crop", or "cancel" if you want to cancel your selection.

I just bought mine for 1900$ its got a 15.5 inch screen i7 processor (most recent) 4gb of memory and 540gb on the hard drive. This is one of the higher end models, if you go with the the 13 inch screen and a i5 processor you can probably get one around 1200-1400.

You can Increase the brightness of clips, but you can't add arrows or highlight clips in Windows Movie Maker. The program is very basic with limited features. Adding extras such as you describe have to be done prior to importing in Photo/Picture editing programs.

There is no reverse video effect for Windows Movie Maker, but you can reverse a video using other programs.

I'm no expert but some of my statements are saved / downloaded as .zo or .do file extensions. I change the .zo or .do to .pdf and that seems to work.

You don't need to buy a converter to convert a zip to an mp3 file. Groups of MP3 files often come in a ZIP file for easier download. The ZIP file contains files that have been compressed to reduce the size of the files. It is a folder that downloads to your computer, which you can then unzip and use the files inside. MP3 files are audio files that often take up a lot of space. Downloading a ZIP file filled with MP3s is a fast way of receiving all the data on your computer.

A .part file is a partially downloaded file from Mozilla Firefox. Since it has not been completely downloaded, it is probably not in a usable condition. If it is a text document, you MAY be able to open it with a word processor. Otherwise, the file contains only corrupted binary data that cannot be used for anything.

The picture is a multimedia. Without multimedia there is no way to send pictures quickly.

The generic driver provided with Windows XP provides a 32-bit resolution. If you want a driver for your particular video card, you'll have to provide it's name in the question.

The WMV is a container that have videos that is encoded with Advanced Systems Format (.ASF)

Microsoft claims that this has 2x better compression than MPEG-4. It has been designed for internet streaming.

Well, you need to get your pre-keyed image/video into your video bar (not the timeline), and then select it (it should be outlined with yellow). Drag the pre-keyed thing into the timeline, onto the other video, where you want it to appear. Then, let go of it, and a little menue should appear. Select "Picture in a picture". Then you should be able to manipulate it (with size and area), and that's how it's done.

Go to portableapps. There is a free video converter you can download that does not require any lisence code. You can even slap it on a thumb drive and take it and use it anywhere from any computer without having to load it. Plenty of other neat useful tools available too.

The answer to this question is a matter of opinion. There's a lot of software out there that offer various skill levels for users. The more advanced a user you are, the more you gravitate towards more extravagant software with extensive less user-friendly features.

Beginners, however, can build a website complete with audio, video, graphics, text, etc., for free (and with ease) on sites like Wix, DevHub, SnapPages, Webs, Webnode, Homestead... There are probably tons more too. You just have to Google; free website builder and you'll come up with many results.

(this is assuming you are asking about the free and most widely available codecs as of May 2010...)

AVAILABLE CONTAINER FORMATS for this CODEC type include:

This brings about some questions like (will I save more space if I compress XviD to DivX or MPEG to XviD..or RAW to Xvid?) If your not sure then seek out an MPEG-4 program to do it for you and save the headache. Containers also factor in player features/usability/flexibility/security.

Some convert programs automatically choose for you according to the professional opinion of the programmer. also some programs ask you the final size you want for the video, then automatically choose settings for you including screen size, codecs and more.

more detail: really you are mixing both 'video and sound' and therefore have to choose between a mix of different compression methods for both. Its a question of how much quality and size, versus time it takes to convert. (cloud hardware or home hardware)

the fallacy is that the more you compress the more quality you loose...'lossless vs. lossy compression' ....

or that you need to reduce the size of the video...

video compression is really a scheme of 'blocking' up groups of pixels. Then they are decoded and encoded according to how much detail is needed to render the picture. fast car = higher bitrate & higher frequency of decoding...

JVC (and most newer camcorders) usually import video to your computer in .MOV format. Since Windows Movie Maker doesn't accept .mov or .mp4 formatted files, you will need a video converter to convert the camcorder video for use in Windows Movie Maker.

Free video converters are available online. Simply Google: free video converters. Once you have downloaded a video converter, locate the the files for conversion. Follow the conversion instructions ensuring your "Output Source" is one of those listed below:

.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

If your conversion is successful, you should be able to import the newly converted camcorder video into Windows Movie Maker for editing.

To do that sort of remix, you need clips from anythig. Add the clips to the video track. Then add the sparta remix instramental. Tweak the clips with effects from the program menu. To get a professional looking remix, you will need a lot of patience. It is not something you can do in an hour or two.
