Next to AC accumulator/drier, which is in the engine bay in front of the firewall. When looking from the front, it is on the left side of the car, an aluminum cylinder approx. 4 inches in diameter.
Driver's side front wheel area, inside the engine compartment, raised sheet metal area with a shock absorber-like thing (strut) bolted into it.
The fuse box is not in the engine compartment. Check below the radio, behind the garbage container.

If you have an automatic gearbox, 4. Plus two extra overdrive gears, in 3rd. and 4th. gears. The total will make 6 different gears.
European Volvo 960 with 2.0 liter turbo engines have manual transmissions with 4 gears plus manual overdrive.
The later S90 was also available with 5 gear manual (reverse was synchro!)
My 1991 740 volvo turbo doesnt start specially during the morning. Is it comes with a cold start valve?
One has a turbocharger, and the other doesn't. The turbocharger is mounted on the exhaust manifold and uses the exhaust gases to drive a turbine which is connected to another turbine that forces fresh air into the intake manifold. This added air increases horsepower and torque.
What 1989 vehicle? You fail to list make, model, and engine size. Therefore the only answer I can give you is to look. Crawl under the vehicle and follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine. Somewhere along the fuel lines you will find the fuel filter.

The service light is nothing more than a lamp connected to a 100 hour time delay relay. It's purpose is to remind you to service the engine at regular intervals. Do it when the lamp ios illumenated and reset the time delay relay by pushing a screwdriver or punch or whatall on the rubber grommet to the left and below the speedometer
Driving conditions are always a factor, but aside from that it depends on what engine and transmission is in the car. For example, is it a turbo or non-turbo? Is it an automatic or a stick shift? The U.S. EPA mileage ratings can be found at fueleconomy.gov
If well lubricated and not abused, it should last the life of the engine 100,000+miles.
