I found these VERY useful instructions at this link - they have some great support and tips here: http://www.mytouareg.info/files/autoindex.php?dir=%2A%20Touareg%20%2A/FSM%20%26%20Installs/ You will need 2 PDF manuals from this site: Halogen_Headlamps_94-01.pdf and HID_Headlamps_94-02.pdf Start with 94-01 to get the headlamp assembly out and follow the remainder of the instructions if you have halogen lamps and use 94-02 for replacing HID lamps. The only tools that you need are a 6mm socket (with a screw drive handle) to turn the open/close shaft and a pretty long flat head screw driver (about 7" or 8") to depress the securing clip while pulling the assembly out. It may help to have 2 people the first time that you try this but once you get it the first time, it is easy enough for one persone to do it. What ever you do, do not over turn the open/close shaft. Before you order replacement lamps it might help to take the old ones out to make sure that you are ordering lamps with the proper specs. The first time I did it, I ordered an HID lamp and it did not work.

If you are talking about the brake light, the rear light on the top then you need to open the tailgate (liftgait). Pop off the two screw covers on the light assambly. Take out the two screws, then comes the hard part. You can either pull strait out and hope you dont break the locking pin or use a 2mm flat rope or string, slide it around the outside of the assembly then give a great pull to pop the pin. Alignment is basically the adjustment of the tire's position vertically from the front and side, and compares position parallel wise (toe in) and forward. How long it lasts is relative to how much driving you do and what happens to the car, say when you hit a pot hole, and such. If you hit something (pothole, curb ect.) it is a good idea to check alignment. Rough road conditions require more frequent alignments A general rule of thumb is to check alignment any time you buy new tires and at least once a year for rough driving areas, like New England. At any time you SEE uneven wear on your tires you probably need one, and may need other work as well. Alignment is also a good way to check suspension and related components (ball joints , tie rods,)which wear out over time.
