What is the statute of limitations of summary offense warrants?
Warrants do not have an SOL, although they are considered "cold" after a specified time has expired this means authorities are no longer actively seeking the person but the warrant will remain valid.
Yes, of course. An arrest warrant is a command from a judge to arrest a person. Usually a police officer has no choice and must arrest.
How do you know if there is a warrant against you?
You could try calling your local police or Sheriff's office and simply asking. If you voluntarilyagree to appear and surrender yourself it would certainly appear as a point in your favor in any subsequent action.
I am concered how long is it going to take to get a warrant fro my son. H'e was rapped myex.?
The question is VERY unclear. As far as a warrant is concenred - in order for a warrant to be applied for, FIRST a report of a criminal offense must be made to the police.
Only that area which is within the immediate reach of the arrestee and also observe anything else which might be visible in plain view.
What makes Katz v. United States important?
It changed how the Fourth Amendment was interpreted.
Prior to Katz a physical intrusion into some protected space was required before the Fourth Amendment was violated. In Katz the majority ruled that the Fourth Amendment protects people, not places. They ruled that Mr. Katz had a "reasonable expectation of privacy" inside an enclosed phone booth; and that the Fourth Amendment had been violated since the police did not have a search warrant to listen in and record his conversation.
The citation is Katz v. United States, 389 US 347 (1967).
How do you find out the dollar amount of a bench warrant?
You will have to be more specific as to what type of warrant you are referring to. The vast majority of bench warrants are issued for the arrest of individuals whom the issuing judge wants presented to court, and cannot be satisfied by specific monetary amounts.

Do the police need a search warrant during a traffic stop to search a safe not attached to the car?
I believe they do need a warrant to check private property but if the safe is in the car and your entering a restricted area then they wont be needing a warrant.
ADDED: The questioner has neatly left out any explanation as to how and why this safe had anything to do with their vehicle. The police would have been derelict in their duty if they had not looked into the circumstances that they were apparently faced with. If the police had reasonable suspicion that this "un-attached" safe might be the "fruits of a crime" they will take action to either confirm their suspicion or set their suspicion to rest. After all . . . how many people drive around with "un-attached" safes in, or on, their car?
How do find out if you have a warrant in Nevada?

Is a failure to appear in probation warrant in camden county Georgia a county or state wide warrant?
a probation warrant or a failure to appear warrant would be state wide and it could be valid in other states, depending the extradtion limits put into the system
In some states criminal case information is available online. Google: case search + (name of your state). These sights are usually part of the Court website in the jurisdiction in question. You may be able to find out if you have a warrant this way.
As a general rule, I'd stay away from a prison if I thought there was any chance of being picked up on a warrant.

Do bounty hunters need a search warrant in the state of California?
Bail Bondsmen and/or Bail Agents are an interesting and somehwat murky area of the law. Bondsmen and Bail Agents are NOT law enforcement officers, therefore the Constitutional prohibition against searches without warrants does not apply to them. Their authority to enter premises without warrants is not addressed by, and does not fall under the restrictions of, the US Constitution. Their authority is derived from long-existing 'common-law' principles and practices. HOWEVER - that being said - they are not immune from being charged under criminal law for unlawful acts that they may commit while they are in the performance of their jobs.
California Penal code allows the bail agent to arrest the principal himself or empower another to do so. [PC 1301].
Except in exigent circumstances, a bail agent must notify local law enforcement at least six hours prior to attempted apprehension of a defendant. [PC 1299.08(a)]
In September 1999, California enacted a law (A 243) regulating bounty hunters, termed "bail fugitive recovery persons" in the statute. This law added section 1299 to the California Penal Code. A bail fugitive recovery person is defined as one who has "written authorization" by a bail agent, surety, etc., (under PC 1300 and 1301) and is contracted to investigate, surveil, locate, and arrest a bail fugitive for surrender to appropriate authorities, or any person employed to assist in the arrest of such a fugitive.
Before apprehending a bail fugitive, an individual authorized by PC 1299.02 to apprehend a bail fugitive shall have in his or her possession proper documentation of authority to apprehend as prescribed in PC Sections 1300 and 1301. The authority to apprehend document shall include all of the following information: the name of the individual authorized to apprehend a fugitive, the address of the principal office of the individual, the name and principal business address of the bail agency, surety company, or other party contracting with the individual.
Sentencing is nearly always going to go much better if you show up voluntarily in court and turn yourself in.
I don't know specifically about Wisconsin and Illinois, but in general, you can get arrested based on an out of state warrant, but some states may not bother to extradite you for a misdemeanor.
Added: In this day and age of budget crunches, it may seem unlikely - BUT - where the law is concerned, never say "never!" All US states and territories honor each other's requests for extradition - there are no 'safe-haven' states - It is impossible to know with certainty whether a particular state will choose to extradite you for a particular offense, or not, there are simply too many variables. It may depend, in part, on the offense and the seriousness of it, and/or how badly they want you returned - most states WILL extradite for felony offenses and crimes of violence.
Does an officer have to have a warrant for every locked door in home?
No. The warrant will spell out the area of the search (a home, a car, a separate garage, any sheds or outbuildings). A search warrant will allow a search in any area where the contraband may reasonably be concealed. Example: An AK-47 is sought. The officers may not look inside a 5" x7" jewelry box. However, any spaces large enough to hold or conceal such a weapon may be searched (e.g.: closets - large bureau drawers - under the bed - between the mattresses - etc)
1. A court of law is not a corporate enterprise.
2. Yes. Courts derive their authority from the Constitution, which supersedes any other philosophy, religion, teaching, meditative practice or personal conviction as the law of the land.
(Nice try, though.)
