How can you tell that you are gaining muscle?

Fat hangs and wobbles. Muscle is tight and hard. You can get a BMI chart from either your doctor or on line. It will ask you a few numbers about yourself and you got to divide and multiply and you will come out with your BODY MASS INDEX which measures the percentage of fat on your body.

Does creatine make you gain non-muscle weight?

The main function of creatine is to act as a buffer for ATP. ATP is the main form of energy consumed by your muscles, where the food you eat such (e.g. glucose) is broken down and used in a series of metabolic reactions to produce ATP. ATP is used in the cross-bridge actinmyosin cycle in muscle cells, and is consumed with each muscle contraction. However, ATP pools in the body are relatively small and are therefore consumed in a short period of time (a matter of seconds) during intense, anaerobic and alactic exercise. Creatine comes into play here where CrP (creatine Phosphate) re-establishes ATP as it is consumed by muscle as it supplies it with additional high energy phosphates.

In short, creatine acts as a buffer to reduce the rate of ATP depletion during anaerobic and alactic erercise. Creatine occurs naturally in the body in relatively small amounts and the 'body building' supplements just provide an additional supply of creatine, this enables you to work harder at the gym. It does not directly contribute to muscle weight gain, however enables you to work your muscles harder.

How much should a 14 year old bench?

The amount of weight one is able to bench press can vary greatly depending on the individual's body frame and muscle mass. An individual that is thinner, will most likely not be able to start a weight lifting program and expect to life greater than 100 pounds. Talking with your primary care doctor would be helpful in laying the foundation of a good exercise program, especially for teenagers, as they are not finishing developing.

How strong is Richard Sandrak?

By the time he was 8 he could bench press twice his weight. At 11, he could do three times his weight. When he weighed probably only 50 or 60 pounds himself, he could go into the splits with each of his feet on a platform, while holding a 30-pound plate. However, all this was because his father, Pavel, forced him to train non-stop (he had no toys and was not allowed outside) and fed him a special diet of almost nothing but a powder that he himself concocted (and which many have said likely contained steroids). His trainer, who eventually quit becausePavel wouldn't tell him what he was feeding Richard and because he was worried about the child's health, laterreported that Richard had barely 1% body fat.Pavel later became more and morephysically abusive towards Richard and his mother and was arrested. Richard thendecided to do only lighttraining to take time to be a normal kid. The courts evenstated that he was not allowed tolift any weightsuntil he was 16. He is now 16, and is still well-built but not nearly to the extent that he was when he was younger. He has been in a movie ("Little Hercules") with Hulk Hogan, and did a workout video for kids. He is also into dancing.

So, long story short, he is strong, but not nearly as strong (pound-for-pound) as he was as a little kid).

How do you raise your bench press fast?

Work your triceps and anterior deltoids. These muscles help and support your pectorals when you bench press.

Most people come to a plateau when they are lacking in these areas.

Here are some good exercises for your triceps.

- Lying Tricep Extensions

- Close Grip Bench Presses

- Narrow Grip Push Ups

- Tricep Extensions with a Dumbbell

- Pushdowns (Machine Exercise)

- Any pressing motion will, to a lesser degree, work the triceps.

The Triceps are responsible for the extension of your elbow.

Any sort of resistance this way will cause development in your triceps.

Exercises for your anterior deltoids (front of your shoulder).

- Overhead Presses

- Push Ups

- Front Raises

- Close Grip Bench Presses

- Pressing movements in general work this area.

Also, try doing Dumbbell Bench Presses instead of using a Barbell. This will force each arm to work independently and will create instability, which in turn may help you!

Get enough rest. Don't overtrain. Eat well. Lift Heavy, but be careful as usual.

As always, ask a professional. They are everywhere, and know more than I.

How much did George Foreman bench press?

This is a difficult question to answer. Big George was a boxer, not a bodybuilder or a powerlifter, so its difficult to guess. He was obviously one of the most powerful and toughest fighters ever, so he definitely had some awesome strength. Just as an educated guess, i would bet at least 350 pounds, and I can reasonably believe a number maybe as high as 450...Who knows, maybe more. But he was a puncher, not a powerlifter.
