Can you take Wellbutrin and Fioricet headache medicine together?
The simple answer is NO, you shouldn't.
Excessive use or abrupt discontinuation of barbiturates and other sedatives after chronic ingestion may precipitate seizures in patients receiving Wellbutrin. Theoretically, barbiturates like Wellbutrin may also decrease the plasma concentrations and pharmacologic effects of Wellbutrin due to induction of hepatic CYP450 isoenzymes.
The pharmacological response to Wellbutrin should be monitored more closely whenever a barbiturate is added to or withdrawn from therapy, and the Wellbutrin dosage adjusted as necessary. Although barbiturates and other sedatives may be prescribed to treat agitation, anxiety, and insomnia associated with Wellbutrin use, patients should be alerted to the possibility of an increased risk of seizures during excessive exposure to these drugs. Patients should not attempt to alter the dosages or discontinue the medications on their own without consulting with your physician. The use of bupropion is contraindicated in patients undergoing abrupt discontinuation of sedatives.

Can you take Wellbutrin and a mood stabilizer together?
Yes, it is actually fairly common to prescribe a mood stabilizer, such as Lamictal, as a first line treatment, meaning a treatment that is targeted to best handle the most problematic symptoms a patient is experiencing, and then add on an anti-depressant like wellbutrin later. Wellbutrin is an atypical anti-depressant and the way it works makes it a good companion to most mood stabilizers. In some cases the mood stabilizer may be used as an add on to the wellbutrin, but the effect will be the same- all it means is that your doctor chose a different course of first line treatment. So in short, yes, you can take wellbutrin and a mood stabilizer together- they work well together and often their side effects can even balance each other out.
Will the prescription drug Wellbutrin cause a positive result in a UA drug test?
Doubtful. I was taking Wellbutrin for quite some time (while taking random UA's) and never had any issues. All though I have had rumors of false positves for cocaine, I don't believe that too be true at all; they have vastly different metabolites, even though the effects of wellbutrin have been described as weak cocaine. Also, even if it were to cause a false positive, when they send it in to the lab it will show up as bupropion and you will be in the clear.

Amphetamine (addreall) is not contraindicated with Bupriopion (Wellbutrin). For example, some psychiatrists may treat ADHD with Adderall and concurrent depression with Bupropion. Occasionally, Adderall or other stimulants may be used by psychiatrists to treat refractory depression (depression that doesn't respond well to first-line treatments). Adderall for depression is an off-label use. Anyways, Adderall and Bupropion XL are not contraindicated by each other. However, this warning applies: "Adderall + Bupropion XL: Caution Advised. Combo may incease risk of seizures (additive effects)." If you have any pesonal or family history of seizures, be sure to discuss this with your prescribing physician. If there are separate physicians prescribing the Adderall and Bupropion, make sure they are both aware you are on both medications. Follow the advice of your physicians and pharmacists

If you take 40 mg of adderall and 60 mg adderall daily when should you take your 150mg Wellbutrin?
I'm taking both prescription Adderall XR (25 mg, twice a day) and Wellbutrin (150mg, twice a day). I have seen amazing results with this combination and it has made me such a better person, but results can always vary.
Anyway... I take 150mg Wellbutrin and 25mg Adderall XR immediately after I wake up at about 5:00 AM. I then eat something small, drink a caffeinated beverage, and go exercise for approximately one hour (alternating muscular strength days and cardio days). I take my second dosage of both drugs at about 1:00 PM due to the plague known as chronic insomnia. I find if I take the dosage after 3:00 PM at the latest, I will not be able to achieve sleep that night. I also go to sleep very early for my age, at about 8:00PM.
Feel free to adjust these to your schedule, and be sure to ask your DOCTOR! What works for me might be horrible for you and vice versa. And for God's sake, never, EVER consume alcohol when using this drug combination! Not even a little! I drank a modest amount of alcohol (3-4 beers, far less than my usual) socially about a week after being prescribed these drugs, and had an unexpected blackout that left me unconscious in the hospital for about 12 hours. Just don't do it!
How long will Wellbutrin XL take to offset the sexual side effects of pristiq?
Pristiq is actually just a chemical cousin to an older drug, Effexor. While the actual half-life of the drug in the body is relatively short (1 day), its biological effects may last as long as 1-2 weeks due to the ability of this group of drugs to actually "re-model" some of the structures found in nerve cells. Wellbutrin may not really counteract its effects, but may simply take time for the biological aftereffects of the Pristiq to diminish over time.
