I would say that Kelly Clarkson is better. In my opinion she is more talented. She has also sold more albums, and had more hits.

The question is who is better, not who has sold most records. Undoubtedly Carrie is better because she has a better voice, is far more talented, writes songs and has won far more awards. I think that winning awards from both the fans and your peers is a particularly strong reason why Carrie is better. The reason she has sold fewer records is because she has stayed true to her Country music origins and Kelly has sold Pop records abroad where generally speaking Country does not have much of a following.

Carrie also has greater success on tour, is married and is basically a dream girl. Kelly lags way behind because everything seems to have got too much for her and she has let herself go. Sad but true.

I'd absolutely suppose Johnny Depp is the most famous one, considered he's been playing in countless of movies which has been broadcasted worldwide. He's been travelling the globe attending talkshows, walking the red carpet a dozen of times, playing with other famous actors... He has had major success in almost every movie of his. Dr. Who is also famous and broadcasted worldwide, but on a less scale.

That's a matter of opinion. But, logically Kermit the Frog because older people know him, kids do teens do, middle age people do, even dogs attack stuffed toys of him. I like Shakira but not as many people know about her like some kids. I hope this helps. :)

1) Popularity:- Popularity wise the answer would be Gandhi as his teaching and his methods are still practiced today . Everyone who is a little aware of the world would know of Gandhi and his heroism, But the admire him ...they are not his fans. Even though he used to speak hindi in most of his rallies or speeches his methods have been adopted in many different areas where they didn't even understand hindi .

2) Fandom:- You have to admire that fact that Tom Cruise has been in hollywood for more than 2 Decades, This is where the industry avg. is about 6-7 years . many of whom are forgotten if they give more than 2 flops . Tom Cruise is a man who is a brand in himself and functions that way. everyone who has a tv at home knows about him.BUT the only downturn about him is that he is limited to only english speaking audience
