How many wolves are in Mississippi?
No, there are no gray wolves in Mississippi, nor have there been in the past century. Reports of red wolves, a smaller less dangerous wolf, have been made throughout Mississippi though the species is reported to have died out in the 1970's. Red wolf coyote hybrids are the closest things to an actual wolf in Mississippi unless illedged sightings of red wolves are true.

Can animals more specifically dogs be bipolar?
Whether it is classified as bipolar or by some other name, yes, dogs can be depressed in many forms. Some dogs can miss their owners so much they will become lethargic, chew their paws, their hair may fall out or they may chew at their fur and have patches missing. It is important that ANY dog gets lots of loving and lots of exercise. Generally when a dog becomes aggressive and moody in nature there is a physical cause for it. Example: My next door neighbors had a Golden Retriever pup and I gave the pup it's first toy. I would go over and play with the pup right up until it became an adult. Without warning the dog became extremely aggressive in nature and would bite. I refused to go over to visit because of the dog. Most owners will say 'Oh he/she won't bite' but no one knows their pet that well and I knew this one would. The owners treated the dog well. When the dog was 10 it had to be put to sleep and it turned out the dog had a cancerous tumor on the brain.
Are wolves safe around people?
Wolves don't likely attack people but they might attack people. They mostly attack domestic pets.
Wolves, as in the animals in the real world who walk on all fours, do play some games...But usually only younger wolves do. Some ideas for games that wolves in the wild play include: Chase/tag, wrestle, hunt(some wolf pups can for example pretend to hunt a rabbit, which is really a pinecone), race, and puddle jump(basically wolves jumping in puddles). These are just some of the possibilities for games. Just use your imagination, I guess :)

What states allow wolves as pets?
You would have to check not only your state laws, but also your city/county laws if you are serious about getting one. Many states allow wolves, but most of them you need to get USDA licensed and a permit, which most of the time is very hard to get. One of the requirements to be licensed is building a large enclosure, but that is hardly the only requirement.

What is the difference between a gray wolf and a red wolf?
Grey wolves are larger with thicker fur and live more north than the red wolves. Red wolves can be found more south, like the deserts of Texas or Mexico, and Grey wolves live in Canada, Alaska, and all of the northwestern states although some can also be found in Mexico. They are of Eurasian origin and can also be found in Africa.
Red wolves are actually hybrids between Grey wolves and coyotes. There used to be three different populations of these hybrids, one in Florida which was a cross between the extinct Florida Black wolves and an earlier great plains coyote population, one in the Mississippi Valley which was a cross between the Mississippi wolves and the great plains coyotes and the last one alive today is a captive population that originated from a remnant extracted from Texas who may be hybrids between the extinct Texas Grey wolf and the southern Texas coyotes. Today, they have been reintroduced into North Carolina. It's also possible that some of the so-called Red wolves from Texas may also have Mexican Grey wolves in them since that population has also mixed with coyotes when they were nearly driven to extinction.
All of the other ones have since backcrossed extensively with coyotes as the pure Grey wolves slowly died out in the east from persecutions. In Canada, the Eastern wolf is another Grey wolf/coyote hybrid population that is closely related to the Red wolves in which they also have much coyote influences and is intermediate in size between the Grey wolves and coyotes.

How many offspring does a wolf-dog have?
Wolves have an average of 6 pups, but have been known to have up to 14.
the average wolf litter is about 5 cubs
2 - 8, but average is 3-6.
If you mean how many babies, they get 2 - 6 babies and one fact more is that the survival rate of the babies is half the litter.
Usually a female wolf will give birth to aroung 4-5 pups in a litter.
Female wolves have litters of one to eleven pups in a lair that may be a cave, a hollow tree trunk, a thicket, or a hole in the ground. The pups normally stay with the parents until the following winter but may remain much longer and become a pack, establishing and defending a territory marked by urine and feces.
How dogs may have originally been domesticated?
Dog was the earliest animal to be domesticated and we have concrete evidence for this from at least around 14,000 years ago, at the end of the earliest stage of the stone age. As to whether these animals could have been described as pets is another issue. It is likely they were primarily kept as working animals, assisting with hunting. By the middle stone age, or Mesolithic there is evidence that dogs had a special status in society, indicated by their burial in human cemeteries (as seen at Skateholm in Sweden).
Instincts for the gray wolf are when it is hungry to hunt and fall completely to it's instincts!
Like most canines on our planet, wolves use their head and or upper jaw to take down prey.wolvesstalk the prey and when the prey come into the right area or view they run and slide their teeth into the muscle around the preys neck,if the wolf is in a pack they hunt around the same as a lone.A pack split up and attack together forcing their weight to the organism and suffocate it.
Wolf work in packs it is highly uncommon to see a wolf by itself. They use their teth to wound their prey then it gets weary and soon dies,a meal for 4 wolf
No, wolves are not solitary. The normally live in a pack; four to seven in one. If a wolf is solitary, it has most likely left the pack in search of a mate to start his/ her own family. Wolves work well in a pack, so a solitary wolf may have trouble finding food.
Wolves live in packs which are extended family groups led by an alpha male and alpha female. There are lone wolves which are wolves that have left there pack to find another or to start their own.
In a wolf pack what does a beta do?
The Beta is sort of like a second-in-command or a deputy. There is rarely two betas, often it is just one Beta. The Beta has the job of keeping the pack in order while the Alphas aren't around. When the Alphas return, they are no longer able to order around the pack. Hope this helped! ~Shadow Wolf
