I just did this in my daughter's `96 Avalon .... a real pain ! You have to take almost the whole dash apart to get to it. Start with the center console, then the gearshift surround. Pry off the bezel around the radio and a/c controls. Remove the glove box door and glove box. Remove the driver's side under dash. Then you'll be able to remove the piece that the ash tray / lighter are installed in.... Flip it around and remove the ash tray. Then you'll be able to remove and replace the lighter.... Good luck, it takes quite a bit of time and contortions and patience. !!! rick

Just find an empty lighter on the ground and go to a gas station or something where the lighters are on the counter and pick one up when your buying your chips or whatever and drop it on the ground, then take your empty lighter and put it in the place of the one you dropped. Or wait till he/she turns around, grab it and BOOK IT!

I would recommened building a teepe shape of small sticks and putting paper or something very flamable inside to catch the flame then do a couple squrits on the paper/sticks and light it but start with small sticks to build up a fire.

Yes you can, but for some odd reason, Charcoal Starter dries and goes ALOT faster than Zippo fuel, but yes, Charcoal Starter works just as well, and Naphthaline is a Main Ingredient of Zippo Mixture, they sell Naptha just for this sort of thing.

it depends on where you buy it. i don't think there is a legal age. some gas stations will sell it to you if you are under 18. i just bought a zippo at a oriental store and i asked if you have to be 18 and they said no. but you have to be 18 to buy the fluid for it. i know you can buy bic lighters and such at a king soopers too....
