Can an overdose of diabetic medicine cause brain damage?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, an overdose of diabetic medication, especially certain types such as insulin or sulfonylureas, can potentially cause brain damage. When these medications are taken in excess, they can lead to dangerously low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia), which can affect the brain's function and, if severe and prolonged, can cause brain damage.

Hypoglycemia deprives the brain of the glucose it needs to function properly. Symptoms of hypoglycemia can range from mild confusion and dizziness to seizures, coma, and in extreme cases, brain damage or death if not treated promptly.

It's crucial for individuals taking diabetic medications to follow their prescribed dosage and monitor their blood sugar levels regularly to avoid overdoses and the associated risks. If an overdose is suspected or if someone experiences symptoms of hypoglycemia, immediate medical attention should be sought to prevent complications.

How can you find out if a company is a non profit?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

To determine if a company is a nonprofit organization, you can follow these steps:

Check the company's website: Nonprofit organizations often prominently display their nonprofit status on their websites. Look for phrases such as "501(c)(3)" (in the United States), "nonprofit organization," "charitable organization," or "tax-exempt status."

Search the company in databases: In many countries, there are official government databases where you can search for nonprofit organizations. For example, in the United States, you can use the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search tool to verify the tax-exempt status of an organization.

Look for registration with relevant authorities: Nonprofit organizations are usually required to register with government authorities to obtain tax-exempt status. Check with the appropriate government agency or department responsible for regulating nonprofits in your jurisdiction.

Review financial documents: Nonprofit organizations are required to file financial documents, such as annual reports and tax returns, which are often publicly available. These documents can provide information about the organization's financial status and tax-exempt status.

Contact the organization directly: If you're still unsure about the organization's status, you can contact them directly and ask for clarification. They should be able to provide information about their nonprofit status and any relevant documentation.

By using these methods, you can verify whether a company is a nonprofit organization or not.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It might help, but you should be aware that drinking too much water can kill you. Don't overdo it.

However, Suboxone does NOT show up on drug tests, unless the employer specifically tests for it, which my doctor says is incredibly rare. See the Related Question below.

Why do smokers get out of breath sooner than non-smokers?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Because the smoker's lungs are smaller than normal person. The lung helps us breath so the smokers need to breath quickly when they walk.

Because less of the surface inside a smokers lungs is able to absorb the air that is necessary as result of being covered with tar and other chemicals that are left behind every time smoke is inhaled. Boy I'm glad I gave it up.

Can marijuana cause overdose with coffee?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No. The toxic amounts of each would require stupidly large amounts consumed in the space of minutes - something like either literally a tonne of weed or hundreds of cups of coffee in less than 15 minutes. So while both THC and caffeine can cause overdose, actually doing so is nigh impossible.

Can you smoke clonazepam?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Answer

Yes, it's okay to smoke weed while taking clonazepam (Klonopin). In fact, I do not know of any drugs or medications that are dangerous to take with marijuana. Marijuana is neither a stimulant nor a depressant, but a mild hallucinogen, and therefore it does not affect your central nervous system the way most other drugs do.

Answer

weed is a depressant as a matter of fact, taking clozazepam with weed will only increase the effect in non harmful way, however taking other illegal drugs with over the counter drugs can sometimes lead to unique consequences so i would research before experimenting

Answer

As I said above, marijuana is NOT a depressant. It is a mild hallucinogen. Look it up.

Can you snort Acetamenophen?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Go for it! :)

yes but make sure it's only ephedrine, and not a combination. Most stuff that they bind ephedrine with can cause brain/liver and heart damage. So plz be careful.

If you really want to snort ephedrine, I highly recommend removing the fillers from the pills. Since ephedrine is water soluble, the easiest way to extract the pure ephadrine is to grind up your pills, stir the powder into a small amount of pure H2O, then pour through a coffee filter. The cloudy water the comes through the filter is not ephedrine extract. Simply pour this liquid onto a glass baking pan, and bake at the lowest temperature your oven will set to, until the water is completely evapourated. Allow to cool, then scrape the powder from the glass with a razor blade.

Snorting Ephedrine does burn a little bit, but does not have any other negative effects as far as I can tell... just don't do too much.

Can you overdose on coffee?

User Avatar

Asked by Equinoxia

Coffee has different effects on different people but an overdose of coffee can lead to heart palpitations, hypertension and even death.

In my case six to seven drip filter coffees per day led to irritability, hypertension, a feeling of panic which culminated in my passing out while driving home from work.

The passing out was probably a seizure caused by the coffee since had been having feelings of Deja-vu and unreality all day as well as a feeling of panic.

Fortunately I wasn't hurt but my car was a write-off. It could have killed me.

I don't know if this will answer your question, but I've always wanted to get a lotus flower tattooed on me because these beautiful flowers grow in muddy water. I see it as the muddy water as all the obstacles, and the flower as me overcoming all the adversity in my life.

Another one you could use is a koi fish because in Japanese legend, koi fish must fight to go upstream to reach Dragon's Gate to become a dragon.

What is the best treatment for Substance Abuse?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Drug addiction is not recommended. If you are using drugs, stop now. If you don't stop now you never will. You should definitely seek help if it's the first thing you think about when you wake up and act sad if you don't have or can't get the drugs. If you already are acting like this you're definitely addicted.

If you wish to become and remain sober, there are many choices. the most effective are non-twelve step in nature.

Where could someone find help to aid a friend with drug abuse and addiction?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The best way is to keep him in a jail so that he could not get drugs from any where this can cure the addicted one .

Answer:

Like any addiction or self destructive activity you can't do anything, the person has to want to end the addiction himself. Involuntary participation in "cures" or interventions does not work, jails only change the source of supply (and lower the quality), religion doesn't help, enabling the addict until they "find a way out" only prolongs the problem. Support when they are in program voluntarily is the only option.
