How do you clean a cut that got muriatic acid in it?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If you have a cut that has been contaminated with muriatic acid, the first step is to immediately rinse the wound with plenty of clean water for at least 10-15 minutes. Avoid scrubbing the area as it may worsen the injury. Afterward, cover the clean wound with a sterile dressing and seek medical attention as soon as possible. It's important to note that muriatic acid is a strong corrosive substance, so professional medical evaluation is crucial.

What should you do if a tiger is chasing you?

User Avatar

Asked by Anovia

Mountain lions have been known to attack humans and are potentially deadly.

* mountain lions are ambush hunters and may be reluctant to attack if confronted. If your an adult person a stare-down maybe in order. * Throw things at it, act aggressive yourself. Rocks are a good choice. * If you are in a group don't scatter. This is the lion's first objective - to separate out the weakest member. Yell, scream, throw things at it. Open up your coat and try to make yourself appear bigger. * If the lion does attack - do fight back.

* Most people around here carry a knife in the woods - one that is already open (not a switch-blade) an is easily and quickly drawn. Lions have been killed this way. * Bear bombs (pepper spray) is commercially available round here too.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Baboons are neutrally defensive, so they don't attack humans unless severely provoked. Most scientists believe that baboons aren't strong enough to fight back, so many people could survive a baboon attack, but few people die from a baboon attack, especially adult baboons.

Do humans need light to live?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

All life on earth is adapted to a day/night cycle. Further, all life on earth is ultimately dependent on plant life, and plant life is dependent on sunlight. Were no sunlight to reach earth due to thick ash clouds or something else obscuring sunlight, plants would die, herbivores would die and finally carnivores would die. There would be no food for humans to survive on, except for fungi which are not dependent on light.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Heck yeah. They have fangs and Posion glands that would scare a cobraJ/k.lol But really they can be if they have rabies, but that goes for all animals with rabies even a little mouse can give you rabies if its saliva enters your blood stream. Squirrels can be a handfull if you are trying to hold a wild one. They have very shrap claws and teeth not to mention they are fast and angile so grabbing one without gloves would be foolhardy and just plain flat out stupid

What should you do when attacked by a bear?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

What do you do in the rare case you are being attacked by a bear? Fight back. Predators do not attack out of anger, and they are always careful to avoid injury. Unlike what you may have heard, play dead only in the even rarer case of being attacked by an angry mother. She is acting out of instinct, she perceives you as a threat to her cubs.

For any other reason, a confrontation with a bear should be handled with a great deal of noise and threatening action. This will end the "attack" quickly with the bear leaving for safer grounds. See link below for more information.

What should you wear while hunting?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Wear a bright orange shirt. And that's all.

Wear camouflage pants & shirt, with an orange vest & a camo hat.

What I prefer to wear is a blaze hat, camo shirt and pants, boots, and a tactical vest. I like the vest because it holds things more securely than a backpack. When it's cold out coveralls are good.

How do you survive the dentist?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

By thinking happy thoughts, listening to music on head-phones and getting them to tell me whats happening.

If you cannot refrain from unpleasant thinking due to the constant reminder of what they're doing, then nothing much but stick it out.

If they hurt you in anyway what-so-ever, then be sure to kill the dentist (after he's done his job) with his own tools. If the procedure itself doesn't make you want to commit murder, then the enourmous bill you get for going through torture should!

What was in a first aid kit for a soldier in World War 2?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The first first aid kit wasn't made until 1890 by Johnson and Johnson. It held antiseptic dressings, surgical supplies, wound care, and a first aid guide. This is well past the time of the pioneer time frame, so they didn't have a kit. They may have carried cotton strips to be used as bandages, some ointments, and medicinal plasters. When a person was hurt in the 1800's they very often died of wounds if they were serious and often had body parts cut off to save the life of the hurt person.

What should you do if the wound bleeds through the emergency bandage?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Place a new emergency bandage over the top of the existing bandage.

At first, adding more fresh bandages on top will help. But you would want to replace the blood-soaked bandages with fresh bandages as soon as possible, and re-apply direct pressure to the wound. Work toward preventing physical shock if possible, and get your victim to a professional- immediately.

What are the best foods to eat if you are lost in the woods?

User Avatar

Asked by BrioPower

You can eat leaves and stuff but a lot of it is indigestible. You are not supposed to eat any fruit, nut, or berry you don't recognize. You can test a berry or fruit by taking a piece and touching the inside to your lips. Wait 5-10 minutes. If there is any stinging, swelling, or anything unusual, it is not safe to eat. If it safe to eat, take a little piece and start mashing it in your mouth for a few minutes and swallow. If there is any tingling, stinging, swelling, etc., don't eat it. If it passes this test, it is safe to eat, so you don't have to worry about dropping dead after eating it.
