it depends. the average is 2-7 years. i know someone who has leukemia and has got diagnosed about 6 years ago. There is always hope. but that is the average time range that doctors will give you to live.

In our blood, there is something that is lack of, that is why leukemia happens and if you are able to find another match for thepatients blood, they would be encouraged to donate blood and then the hospital would extract the 'something' which the patient need and finally, inject it into the patient. However, large amount of 'it' is needed and there is a very rare chances that you might find a match. It takes plenty of money as well for the equipments to extract the 'something'.
