Melting plastic is tricky because you can easily char or burn it and can be dangerous because of the fumes released when the plastic melts. Also, different materials melt at different temperatures which can also make it difficult. If you have access to a pottery kiln, you could try putting the plastic in a kiln-safe container and melting it that way. However, it is unknown what will happen if you do so. Either way, I would not suggest melting plastic at home, just re-use it for something else or recycle it.

Magic Eraser works wonders. Just scrub it on the counter top & watch stains disappear.

I read this and thought "no way will that work". I had tried everything else I could think off so I bought a magic eraser. Amazing!!! It worked with really no effort at all. I've just found a favorite new cleaning product!

I could not figure this out either, until my know-it-all uncle showed me in about 0.02 seconds. You squeeze both sides from the top to unlock!

As for the soap refill itself, just poke with a paper clip into IUD and push the button a couple of times...

There is a grout removal tool available at most big box hardware stores. It is basically a handsaw that uses hardened aggregate applied to the blade instead of teeth.

You have to shave each joint down to a level below the surface that a new grout can be applied to and adhere (about 1/8" for non-sanded grout and 1/4" for sanded grout).

If you are changing grout colors, you will want to use an acid (muriatic acid) to wash down the joint edges to remove any small amounts of the old grout at the surface edge that remain, prior to new grout installation.

Because you are not installing the new grout to the full tile depth, it is advisable to use a latex additive to prevent cracking.

The following are guidelines to help prevent falling accidents:

With Drano or another drain cleaner, or you can use bleach but it's less effective.

Just either pour boiled water onto the hardened cheese, or put it in a bowl/basin of boiled water. It will come off quickly. (This could melt the brush though).

Alternatively, just put the brush into the dishwasher with the rest of the dishes and it will be cleaned by the end of the cycle.

To get the oil out , put baby powder on it, let it soak up the oil, shake off excess, ( this works best when stain is fresh, and wont work on silk) then launder in machine but pre- treat with a stain remover first. Machine wash it at the highest temperature allowed. for the shirt. Put bleach on it if its a white shirt that can take bleach. before machine washing.

The best way to get grease out of clothes is to wash the soiled garment immediately. If cool water and laundry soap do not remove the stain, dish soap - which is made for cutting grease - is often the best option.

depends if you using kleenex viva or regular? because kleenex viva will absorb more than he other two. however, if you are using regular viva, bounty will absorb more.

I would try washing your plastic pitcher out first with straight white vinegar and then with a solution of 1/4 cup 20 Mule Team-brand borax to 2 quarts hot water. Let the borax solution soak for an hour or so.

Borax was our great-grandmothers' household wonder chemical, and what worked 100 years ago is still wonderful today. Not only that, but it's cheap and it's environmentally sound. I use it in the laundry and when washing dishes (either by hand or in the dishwasher); it all but eliminates the need for chlorine bleach (and all the damage that stuff does to clothes), and you won't believe how the dishes sparkle once they are dry.

I dont know what you mean about ''Sick", but maybe a spray called Febreze could help because it always helps my house even though my house doesn't smell sick. It just gives it a clean smell. Maybe you might not like the smell because it might be to strong for you or you might be allergic to exotic smells like that, but I actually think you should give it a try. vacuum, and mop bathroom and kitchen with bleach and water. wipe surfaces in bathroom and kitchen with bleach and water. wipe surfaces in other rooms with water and lysol in brown bottle. just a tiny bit of this stuff with water. this will clean the place deep down and the odor will be eliminated not just masked, However, if you don't want to do all of this, burn inscense, it always does the trick.

If you can smell burnt plastic then you could potentially be in danger. Smoke from burning plastic can be harmful to breathe.

wash it with bleach then use tide stain remover if that dont work put it in the cleaners

Preshrinking is done with heat. so when I preshrink cotton material, i wash it in super hot water and dry it in a very hot dryer. I usually preshrink at least twice before cutting out my material to sew. Just a note: Cotton will shrink everytime it is washed and dried if you are washing in hot water and drying. After the initial preshrink, I will wash my cottons in cold water and dry in medium heat. Don't be afraid to wash in cold water. There is detergent out there that works great in cold.

Buy some "Goo Gone" slather it on and let it sit over night and then rub with a paper towel, you may have to repeat but I have had good luck with this.

A lot of people do not realize how important it is to maintain their hardwood floors. Even worse, they don't know that hardwood floors need to be handled in a different manner than tile, or any other surface. The key is to use the least amount of moisture as possible. As well, products that won't scratch or wear away at the wood are a must. Try using a lightly dampened cloth and cleaning in the direction of the wood grain. In cases in which you simply wish to remove dirt, a vacuum with hardwood setting would be best.

hi i was just filming my film for college and was using red food colouring and it was all over my hands and up my nails, i used nail varnish remover for the most of it then a kind of bleach and sprayed it into warm soapy water then used a nail brush or any kind of brush like that... hope this helps yssy xx

You didn't mention if you lived alone, had a husband or children. If you do then it's a tough thing to do. If you have a family then set rules in the house and if the children are old enough make them clean their rooms, do chores (never hurts any child) and also get your husband to clean up after himself. I just told my husband after cleaning the bathroom and then he went in and decided to cut his mustache and hair was all over the sink, 'Do you see maid service tattooed on my forehead?" He cleaned that mess up right away. Why? Because I refuse (I do it once only each day) and if company comes then he's the one that's going to look like the slob, not me. Don't try to do all housework all day. Do your dishes, clean your floors with a broom or mop, make the beds, clean the washrooms and get one of those magnetic dusters (works like a breeze) and dust. That's it! Then pick one day out of the week and get into those nooks and crannies that need to be cleaned properly. There is always that ugly task of cleaning out the fridge and at least once a month self cleaning your oven. I cheat! LOL Sometimes I have a 'junk closet' and if guests are coming without much warning I am sure to have room in there to put a few things. LOL Get tough, work like the Army Command and give out orders! Everyone cleans up their own messes!

It probably won't. I used too much bleach to get a stain out of my carpet and my carpet hasn't stopped fuming for over a month. I called Stanley Steemer to see if they could help me and they said there's no way to get bleach out of carpet, the carpet is just ruined.

I also read here: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf59105639.tip.html that vinegar and bleach is a deadly mix, so I would seriously suggest not using white vinegar on a carpet with bleach on it. It probably won't help and will just create more deadly fumes.

It comes right off with tooth paste, regular tooth paste not the gel kind! Put regular tooth paste into it rub it in and then wipe it off with a room temperature water on a wash cloth and it comes right off its an amazing miracle!
